The staff were pleasant and courteous, although we checked in rather late and there was a little trouble getting the right key card. The trouble was sorted instantly, however. Quite a busy hotel, but that's a sign it's a good one! |

Visit our son at Cambridge University and celebrate wedding anniversary I thought the changing rooms in the pool area could do with a re-vamp |

location was good easy to find off the motrway. Room had a tiny 3/4 double bed which was really too small for a hotel it wasn't much bigger than a single. Room was big enough to take a double. Bathroom seemed clean except black mold on grout around bath bit off putting. The picure on booking website showed a larger room! |

restaurant - breakfast is very good even though self service. Location is convenient for Cambridge. Staff are helpful. The TV system is out of date - no freeview - just basic channels with Sky One. Channel five did not work all weekend we were there. On business so wanted to relax and watch TV in evening. |

Covenient for Cambridge City Centre by bus. Quiet, comfortable, good food & service. Their terrible habit of saying 'no problem' whenever you ask for something. If I ask for more toast I don't anticipate that it will be a problem! Perhaps it is just a modern habit, but all staff there seemed to do it. |

staff friendly - a league of nations! Enjoyed chatting to them and they were all helpful and eager to please. rooms - fixtures, fittings and carpets etc tired & need a refresh/update. A shower cap would be good. Why not offer guests the option to keep the same soap instead of changing it every day? - seems wasteful to me. Evening meal provided as part of weekend package uninspiring but adequate in amount and quality, just about, but NOT in my opinion worth the £25 per head it was purported to be worth. As result, did not book to eat in restaurant the following night - shame. Did enjoy bar food though as it was MUCH nicer and, although not cheap, felt it was more worthy of the charges made. The hotel seems to be more of a business meeting place and can feel a bit soulless to the leisure trip guest. Maybe put out magazines/newspapers in lounge? |

Excellent breakfast with friendly prompt service It hurt my husband's bottom when he sat down a little heavily on the bed because the mattress was all springs little padding and probably a little tired. We've visited the hotel several times over the past few years and have always enjoyed our stays; The gym equipment and pool area are beginning to look a little tired and grubby ( some gym equipment could do with replacing, cracked unhygienic vinyl, pool windows could do with a clean etc). Please take these comments constructively. The Hotel is very handy for Cambridge and particularly Girton College, has great facilities and with a little effort could be so much better. |

we arrived late at night and the Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and breakfast staff good at making sure that we had enough coffee and toast we paid for our restaurant drinks at end of meal in Restaurant with cash, but this info had not been passed to reception staff and on check - out , we were asked for the money. In fairness to the reception staff, when we explained that we had already paid, there was no quibble. |

Room Service was excellent. If there was a problem it was sorted immediately Message kept coming up on TV re smart card. I think it was an analogue not digital model. There was a cigarette burn on the bedcover.Ordered 2 newspapers - only recived 1. It was supposed to be an executive room... expensive compared to Hotels similar |

The food and staff were ok and the bar and reception area were also what I would expect for a 4 star however the rooms left much to be desired for a 4 star, they were shabby and mine was in much need of redecoration. The rooms were a 3 at best. Would I stay again ? no not for the price paid. |

The rooms were good for the price we paid as was the food. The service was excellent in both restaurants and the reception (the only staff with whom we had contact). The health centre facilities were great and It was a pleasant break. We would have liked having newspapers around at breakfast the way they do in other hotels. It gives you a chance to read when you have the leisure and usually to look at a paper other the your usual one. |

Lovely warm welcome from the receptionist, very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and very good pool/spa area. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Our two-day break package included dinner on one night - it was so delicious that we opted to eat at the hotel restaurant on the next night too. My only quibble is that the rooms were too warm. Even with the radiator turned off the pipes were red hot and that made the whole room a bit too warm and stuffy. Better that than being cold though! |
