We paid more for a deluxe room. No bath robes as described, long hairs in the bath and we asked for a double bed but had two single beds pushed together that kept moving apart. We stayed here before in the same room type and had a much better room last time. Has put us off staying again I think.

Good value for money - stayed on the half board break so dinner & breakfast included. Staff friendly & helpful. Free parking. Quite a lot of road noise because of the proximity to the A14.

Accessiblility to Cambridge, price compared well with similar hotels Very minor irritations: one bathrobe missing in room, has to ask for marmalade at breakfast, ladle for porridge missing

The hotel was well run, the Staff were efficient and friendly and we enjoyed our three nights stay. It is very handy for the local Bus service, a car in Cambridge is a liability, and it worked very well for us. We were well satisfied. The only point I would make is that I think the bath should have a rubber mat. The bath is quite slippy and is a hazard for the 'not so agile'. I know I should have asked for one at Reception but I kept forgetting.

Breakfast was Lovely and was available up until 11am - which meant we had time to use the pool and the sauna before we ate, was also refreshing not to be rushed out of our rooms at the crack of dawn. Considering the reasonable price of our room, we were shocked at the prices at the bar!! - and not shocked to see that the bar was empty even though the hotel was busy - we were travelling with my elderly mum, who retired early, so the plan was to have drinks in the hotel bar, but at £12.00 for a pint of cider and a glass of red wine we decided to buy a bottle of wine from the local supermarket and stay in our room!! So we were a bit dissapointed.

Can't really fault the hotel or staff but it wasn't a comfortable hotel where you could relax and unwind, it was exceptionally busy and noisy during the evening meal period, people were nearly shouting to make themselves heard. The hotel was fine, just too busy and noisy for a relaxing weekend away. We had to leave early as our little one way ill, we couldn't get any refund due to our booking arrangements but the staff cancelled our small bar bill which was not expected. If I was staying for a golf weekend it would have been fine but not to relax

Staff were excellent and very attentive. Public areas were fine however walking down to the bedrooms one noticed the lack of sound proofing which meant that conversations from the rooms could be clearly heard. The ceiling in the corridors are fairly low give a claustrophobic feeling.

Good location, easy to find, just off main a road, plenty of free parking. Choice of menu was not good, I feel the Menzies could have been a lot more creative. Thankfully we had a 2 day special rate, so it was not to bad. However if we were paying £25 per head for the dinner I would not have been very happy. We found dinner very average.

excellent location as a stopover - great staff, excellent facilities and wonderful breakfast. If there was one gripe it would be that the bathrooms are in need of modernisation but adequate for my needs

A comfortable stay within easy reach of Cambridge. Access to pool facilities. Services within the room were refreshed daily. You were allowed to enjoy facilities without anyone hassling you. Most staff were helpful and friendly Some reception staff were slightly abrupt. The room, although, clean had some areas of shabby decoration The pool area also looked slightly worse for wear.

Rooms were very clean and tidy. Location of the bar and lounge was a good idea (1st floor) away from the restaurant. A very good variety of food for breakfast. We were on the d, b&b rate food was very nice. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Hotel was in a good location we visited Cambridge and St Ives and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Spa seemed rather on the small side for the hotel.
