Moira Guest House  

Beautiful renovated listed building with storied history. Friendly staff, great breakfast and very reasonably priced. Just two doors down from Moira's main nightspot which also serves meals during the day.

I was made to feel very at home - nothing was too much trouble and having asked about where I could eat as I was arriving at 8pm, all local possibilities had been checked in advance of my arrival.

A great little Hotel nice staff rooms were very good and clean. The breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality products used. Moira is a lovely little town and has good bars and restaurants in walking distance from the guest house

The staff were most friendly and attentive and the guest house immaculate in every detail.

As a mature couple the climb to the allocated second floor room. The staff did offer to help with our cases!

Lovely staff, Tim very helpful. Rooms big and comfortable, spotless bathroom with v soft towels, loads of hot water and nice breakfast!!

The room was too hot and it wasnt possible to turn off the radiator or leave the window open.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Manager phoned while I was en route to ensure my safety on the icy roads. lovely breakfast.

The accommodation i.e. spacious bedroom, plenty of heat & good breakfast.

Really friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating! Really homely atmosphere topped off with a fab roaring fire in the living room! Would definitely stay again!

Nightclub next door means its slightly noisy!

This Guest House is amazing! It's so warm and friendly that you could not fault any aspect of it. It's right in the centre of the town. The staff are amazing! Told us where to go and what were the best places for dinner etc. Room was very large and had everything that you could want. Breakfast was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely be returning here, loved it! Whether it's business or pleasure this is one of the nicest places you could stay in.

A well kept and well run guest house where the staff are exceedingly friendly and helpful. I had a large, pleasant room with good ensuite. Breakfast was excellent. Location is good on the towns main street with several restaurant choices within easy walking distance.

The fruit juices at breakfast were too sweet for my taste (a minor point I know).

The warm and friendly staff. Having found the Moira last year, we have returned again this year for a family visit. We tried to book in the summer but unsurprisingly it was booked up and we had to stay elsewhere which was just not the same. Gwinney made us so welcome and couldn't do enough to make our stay so homely and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. We had the same reception and experience this time round and the other staff were so friendly and looked after us in the same manner and the cook made the most gorgeous traditional breakfasts! I would highly recommend the Moira. It is easy to get to and fairly central for all types of holiday, I am looking forward to our next visit - it almost feels like going from home-to-home and so relaxing, will book earlier for our summer trip. Keep up the good standards.

Tim the Manager and the staff were all very friendly and helpful and although I had never stayed here before, Tim went the extra mile to make sure that his guests were well looked after. This was highlighted by the fact he welcomed me at 2.30am in the early hours when I arrived after a late ferry crossing from Scotland. I shall most definitely book again when I travel to Ireland in the future

If there is a let down and I am not looking for one, it would probably be that booking.com itemised the prices as plus VAT when in fact Moira guest house is not VAT registered which is only really relevant if you are a VAT registered customer and will make your stay effectively 20% more. Having said that the price was still very competitive and worth every penny

Everything was wonderful and the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Wish we had been staying more than just one night. Definitely will stay again if we are near Belfast.

The Staff were very friendly and offered advice and help with places to visit during our stay. We were a family of 3 vegetarians, which it would seem is unusual but the staff went out of their way to ensure there was an alternative cooked breakfast to the bacon, sausage and black pudding breakfast. There was also the option to have continental breakfast if desired. The Guest house was comfortable, cosy and friendly. The cooked vegetarian breakfast was excellent. Parking was available but only accessible to smaller vehicles, not a problem for us though.

It was not necessary to wash the towels daily, it did state if left in the bath would be washed, however even though they were not left in the bath they were changed daily. Room during the early evening could have been a little warmer. But the positives far outweigh the very minor negatives.

Decent sized tastefully decorated room and ensuite bathroom. Well-stocked hospitality tray and individual toiletries. Nice welcome from young man at desk and breakfast service by 3 or 4 girls was very attentive and efficient. Good variety of food - was impressed that they were able to give me vegetarian sausages without notice, served with lovely free-range eggs and tasty brown toast.

Shower is difficult to use because a plastic clip attached to the pole prevents the head from being lifted down to facilitate washing hair, etc.

I liked Moira Guest House for the friendliness of staff and also I loved the architecture of the old house teemed with the cleanliness and moderness of the upkeep of it.

Found parking the car a bit of a challenge, but they did warn us about it and I managed it without doing any damage!
