On arriving at 4:05pm we rang down to reception to inform them our TV wasn't working, at 5pm still nobody had been up, so we rang down again, to be told that they thought someone had been up to repair it & will get someone ASAP to sort it for us, at 6pm still nobody had been up to repair the TV so we went down to reception to be greeted that the manager was very busy & they was trying to sort it out for use ASAP, we was then also advised that we could change rooms but it wouldn't be a four poster bed room, to which I repied I've already paid for a four poster room, which I was then shrugged shoulders at. On the day of departing, we had a knock on the door from room service at 9:30am even though we didn't have to check out until 11am, at 10am we then got a call from reception asking us if we was waiting on room service, we felt that we was being rushed out of the room. When we did leave at 10:05am as we felt we had too, I mentioned to a pleasant receptionist that we was now booking out, she said we could stay it wasn't a problem, we just wanted to go. She asked if everything else was ok, so I told her about the TV on our arrival, she then got manager to speak to me, who told me he knew nothing about the TV that we ended up repairing ourselves & if he had he would have got it sorted, he told us that he will be speaking to the receptionist for not dealing with this accordingly, I was fuming that we wasn't offered a refund if we had to change rooms, there was no way I was paying the same price as a four poster bedroom for a standard room, I will not be going back there again to be spoken rudely at when I paid quite a price for a four poster bedroom you expect it to be perfect & to be spoken to pleasantly to when there's a problem
We stayed in the four poster bedroom, it was a surprise for my partners birthday, the room was very spacious, clean, we overlooked the gardens.
