I was able to bring my dog. Pool was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sauna not hot enough. I could not get hold of anyone on the phone when I wanted to book accommodation. Bedroom door needed attention, could not be closed without being banged.

It was clean...food nice Had to move rooms due to music from the dining room. The pictures shown on the website didn't reflect the true likeness of the building in particular the external view. The service and staff available did not reflect the amount of guests in residence..ie had to wait on a number of occasions for service at the bar..

Absolutely nothing. The hotel was adequate but service was poor particularly in the resturant - breakfast was poorly cooked. Travel lodges are equal except the room was clean and tidy!

Fantastic value for money. Stayed in a twin room with my friend which cost us eac £40. Room was a great size and very clean. Pool and jacuzzi clean, pool temperature lovely. Fantastic value for money. Some rooms/decor may be a little tired but no problem as clean and staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

The location was good for access to Chester and the facilities ta Ellesmere Port The hotel was very dated and detereorating. It was much in need of modernisation. The steam room wasn;t working, which was the main reason for me choosing this hotel ahead of rival hotels within Chester. The staff were adequate but there was not enough staff on hand to deal with the amount of people dining for breakfast.

Position and plenty of hot water Dirty towels, TV not working, no loo roll, promised newspaper did not appear, poor breakfast which ran out early, uncontrollable heating. I did complain and they were fair and reduced the bill, but would not rush to re-book!

We arrived at the hotel just after 3pm to be given a room that was more like a budget hotel all the furniture was damaged the carpet was not fitted the curtain had sen better days. We had the lounge music bleering through teh floor and it was really shabby not what I expotect considering the picutrres on the web were very impressive. Management was week in terms of being able to seal with complaints. After complaining about the room we were moved to another room it was better but still all the feet on the bed were broken and was rather disappointed. I feel that were keeping there bestter room for people that had booked direct. I will not stay or recommend this hotel to any of my clients. Everyting was a disappointment.......

The reception and bar staff were very helpful and friendly but felt the Hotel laked in basic extras, considering a 4 star accomodation. Simple toiletries needed, no Restaurant menu anywhere! The spa staff let the hotle down, very dis-interested, running late with no apologies! In general a good experience just needs looking at finer details.

We land iked the pinist playing in the evening. The whole place just felt like it wasnt really a 4 star after being to a fours star for the two nights previous it was similar prices but didnt match on quality. We had fish and chips in the restraunt and it was very greasy it looked good but tasted a bot like cheap/standard pub food. Also the so called cocktail bar that only has pre made bottled cocktails and had run out. ( a cocktail bar thats run out of cocktails very dissapointing). It was our last night of our weekend away in the chester area and it jut let the weekend down to be honest.

The room itself was beautiful. Large, high ceilings, excellent television and a lovely ensuite bathroom with modern fittings. The location is good for Chester. Breakfast was good. The room was obscenely hot, with the radiator stuck at the highest setting. There was a pungent smell of damp that was absolutely revolting. There were cobwebs all over the headboard. We barely slept a wink and actually felt ill the morning after staying in the room. The receptionist was completely unsympathetic, simply saying she would get someone to look at the radiator. I'm not sure how that compensated me, since I will not be returning to the hotel. The food at breakfast was very very good, but service poor. I was given a filthy fork covered in chocolate and it was not easy to ask for tea/coffee. Very slow staff. We were part of a large group who were at an event at the hotel. Two of us had drinks charged to our rooms duplicated on our bills to the tune of an overcharge of £75. Some had actually paid. We are not sure if other members of the party paid and left without noticing. Luckily we did. They were not particularly apologetic about it.

I read a few dodgy reviews about the hotel before I went, so wasn't expecting too much. True, the decor is a little tired, but the leisure/spa facilities are great (particularly for the price) and for those who like outdoor stuff as well, excellent access to good running and cycling.Staff are very friendly and flexible.Rooms have open views, and are not too warm. Not the best breakfast I've ever had. A bit of a walk into town in the winter in a gale - bus service only once an hour.

Its location was good for visiting chester. Free parking Upon check in at 4pm our room was unheated (late december and snowing outside). The staff said it was on a timer and would come on. It never did and we had to complain again. To be fair they brought a heater which eventually warmed the room by about 11pm. In the restaurant we were brought an a la carte menu. I knew there was a table d'hote menu but the waitress said she did not know about it and had to go to the kitchen to check. Seems that they did not want anyone to save money. The whole hotel was tired and tatty. Needs some money spending on it. They did not grit or clear the car park even though it was iced up and they had a party of 250 that night.

It was convenient and you have parking. It is also situated in nice gardens and is peaceful. The rooms are very well worn and tired. They do not give you a choice of pillows and the only ones available were as sard as rocks. The bed and bedding were well worn and desperately needed replacing, there was no room service menu or hotel booklet to let you know about the facilities available at the hotel they also seemed to be very short staffed considering there were hardly any guests everything had to be waited for for a long time .

Steam room, room was cosy enough for one night. Location, the setting had so much potential was the failed on so many levels Lots.. They ran out of Jack Daniels, The food was poor, The hotel decor was awful; tired, scruffy, tatty, needed repainting and decorating urgently. Things didn't work. The furniture was old and battered. The beauty therapist cancelled the treatment we booked. Basically this felt like a badly run hotel in a poor state of repair and other guests were mentioning the same thing to us. I'd not stay again and I definitely not recommend it.

We had a very friendly welcome by a helpful receptionist. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bar and dining room which overlooked the garden was very pleasant. The pool was warm and the changing rooms had good hot showers and plenty of room. Our evening meal was lovely.
