I was very disappointed with this hotel! This is supposed to be 4 star hotel but is very tired and dated. The spa was very poor, the jacuzzi was not in use and sauna wasn't working. Decor throughout the hotel needs updating and looks like it needs a good clean. Would not stay there again, expensive and not worth the money!!!!

We had reason to talk to the Manager and he was understanding of our problems and gave us a discount. This is not a 4 star hotel more like a 3 star. The bed was small, old and very uncomfortable, breakfast very poor selection. One night of the 3 we stayed, came to our rooms and accosted by loud disco music, our rooms just above the function room and the dj was in full swing. We and others complained but we were told nothing could be done and the music would be off at 12.30, had to put up with this till then, impossible to change rooms or hotels, one couple with very young childen went back home, one and a half hours away. Also put in clothes for dry cleaning and when we were leaving went to get it and was told that the hotel doesn't do dry cleaning even though we handed it in with the hotels form and also handed it in when we first arrived. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We booked 2 rooms for 4 nights. One of these rooms was of a very poor standard. The toilet would not flush properly and the bathroom door was falling apart and nearly got trapped inside bathroom! Moved to 'slightly' better room following day - no apology. Breakfast inconsistant - some days menu sellection, other days buffet with limited selection.

The bath room was tired and in desparate need of refurbishment considering the star rating given to the hotel. The bed was uncomfortable and would benefit from at least a new firmer mattress. Pillows on the bed were maarginally better than sleeping on a bag of cement, too hard and of poor quality.Service in the restaurant was of a standard best suited to a one star hotel or basic B&B guest house. Service at reception during check in was at a trainee standard.

Its location was good for visiting chester. Free parking Upon check in at 4pm our room was unheated (late december and snowing outside). The staff said it was on a timer and would come on. It never did and we had to complain again. To be fair they brought a heater which eventually warmed the room by about 11pm. In the restaurant we were brought an a la carte menu. I knew there was a table d'hote menu but the waitress said she did not know about it and had to go to the kitchen to check. Seems that they did not want anyone to save money. The whole hotel was tired and tatty. Needs some money spending on it. They did not grit or clear the car park even though it was iced up and they had a party of 250 that night.

It was comfortable, friendly and not noisy. Food was excellent and plenty of it. The radiator in the bedroom did not work and generally the room that we stayed in despite being clean, could do with a good lick of paint. Staff were generally friendly but if there were problems at meal times and there were, the staff need to communicate with the clients with an explanation. No explanation leads to frustration and whether we would go back again.

The staff seemed friendly enough There was no internet service available in my room and the free internet service in public area had to be accessed via the front desk who inputted the password for me. The photograph on Booking.com does not really show that the hotel is beside a road (although I did get a room at the back which was quiet). There was a must smell on the corridors. This certainlt did not seem to me to be an 4 star hotel

It was convenient and you have parking. It is also situated in nice gardens and is peaceful. The rooms are very well worn and tired. They do not give you a choice of pillows and the only ones available were as sard as rocks. The bed and bedding were well worn and desperately needed replacing, there was no room service menu or hotel booklet to let you know about the facilities available at the hotel they also seemed to be very short staffed considering there were hardly any guests everything had to be waited for for a long time .

Food staff very young but good What I did not like was the wine choice ran out of some no cream to have liqure coffee. Also first room we were given had a fault with shower scaulding hot water, light bulbs missing and telly remote and that was an upgraded room. You have a good hotel but it could be so much better by paying attention to detail.

I booked this hotel as there were 7 of us staying and it was by far the cheapest option I found online (much cheaper than advertised on the Brook website). I was a bit worried after reading reviews but found the hotel to be very pleasant. It's true that it's not up to 4 star standard but it's clean, the staff are very nice, and it has a large bar/restaurant area. We didn't use the spa but it looked lovely, and everyone at the hotel (staff and guests) were friendly to my family and our two 1 year olds (who loved running around the lobby.) Breakfast was also good, and the location of the hotel was perfect for visiting Chester and Cheshire Oaks. The garden at the rear is beautiful. It's not a 4 star hotel. The entrance to the carpark is at a funny angle and barely visible from the road.

Steam room, room was cosy enough for one night. Location, the setting had so much potential was the failed on so many levels Lots.. They ran out of Jack Daniels, The food was poor, The hotel decor was awful; tired, scruffy, tatty, needed repainting and decorating urgently. Things didn't work. The furniture was old and battered. The beauty therapist cancelled the treatment we booked. Basically this felt like a badly run hotel in a poor state of repair and other guests were mentioning the same thing to us. I'd not stay again and I definitely not recommend it.

We had a very friendly welcome by a helpful receptionist. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bar and dining room which overlooked the garden was very pleasant. The pool was warm and the changing rooms had good hot showers and plenty of room. Our evening meal was lovely.

Goog location. On arrival we found dirty laundary in the room ie:- used bath robes. The heating in the main area of the room was not working correctly, therefore was very cold. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was not working. We were informed that they were waiting for a part for towel rail. Also the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working. You expect alot better when you book an executive room for that price. Also the fire alarm went off at 1:30am and nobody came to explain what happened.
