And the seagull poo....
And that bloody sea breeze ,
But dont go if you cant stand being by the seaside ;-)
We travelled on a large motorcycle and were worried about parking.
Sue let us know initially that this was not a problem, as she had parking round the back.
She let us in through the back gate in to her narrow garden, there the bike stayed throughout our stay.
So this place is motorcycle friendly.
Though we were late, the welcoming was more than I was expecting.
It was like meeting my Mam.
We parked the bike up and went inside.
The Guest House is presented clean homely.
Sue really is a rock, she made us a brew then showed us our room.
Sue usually goes to watch TV on an evening in the big lounge, and you can tell that you are more than welcome to come and join her for a natter, but you know what it is like when you are going to Scarborough for a couple of nights!
You want to get out and about.
Next morning, you will be lucky to meet the galloping gourmet (Ian)
A mans work is never done ;-)
He will present breakfast for you, and with the character that only a brummy milkman can produce.
He is brilliant.
Nothing was too much.
My missus fell poorly during our stay (Alcohol induced)
So I had breakfast on the first morning alone, but Ian made me feel right at home.
The whole place is tastefully decorated and impeccably clean , the bed itself is so comfortable that our lass could not get herself out of it. lol
All in all, we would definitely make that our only place to stop, next time we go to Scarborough and would not hesitate to recommend the Monico (With Sue and Ian).
You would be unlucky to miss out on the hospitality.
Five + stars and motorcycle friendly , just not a big group of you. hahaha
