Arbor Hyde Park is a beautifully restored 19th-century townhouse overlooking Hyde Park. It is a 5-minute walk from Lancaster Gate Tube Station and just 2 Tube stops from Oxford Circus' shops.
Score from 118 reviews Superb
The Lancaster Gate Hotel is situated in the centre of London, just a few minutes from several underground stations.

Score from 171 reviews Fabulous
Space was compact but adequate for one person and double bed. Excellent shower room. Lighting good. At rear of hotel so very quiet room.
Compact space could have been a problem for more than a one night stay.
Easy to function. Basic but stylish accommodation, bathroom was small but trendy and perfectly formed. Staff were efficient. Breakfast was great. Near the q-park I booked, across from Hyde park and right next to the tube station.
I am really particular about accommodation and I have nothing negative to say at all!!!
Nice breakfast Comfortable room and good wifi
Nothing in particular
One of the few London hotels in this price range where the staff are all friendly, courteous and professional. It makes a huge difference.
The space in the room
+ location near Paddington Station / Subway Station / Hyde PArk + friendly personal
- next parking garage 15 min walk away - room very small (not possibl to walk around bed) - no direct view on TV from Bed - rooms only weakly sound insulated
Great location and very clean
Room was right by the elevator so abit noisy. Room not very soundproof can hear other showers etc
I was assured by a member of staff that I could park out the front, to later realize upon checking out that I had received a parking ticket... Not too happy ...
Location, Cleanliness, heating control, how the receptionist went out of her way to put us in the quiet room that we requested and even enquired if we were happy with it. Very helpful staff.
Nothing major at all but the size of the bed could have been bigger for a double and the room wasn't very soundproof.
Clean and good sized rooms / dry good location -right next to the tube and opposite hype park
Tiny bath and the exterior of the hotel was a mess
easy access to tube network and Paddington station, warm and comfortable hotel
confusing floor levels and indicators
The single bed was a joke of a size and prevented me from getting any sort of quality sleep
Close to transportation
Expensive rooms for this tiny hotel with one single slow elevator Staff not going out of their way to help Breakfast included only if you reserve directly with hotel not with booking.com
The location next to Hyde PArk, at a walking distance from PAddington is Ideal Staff is nice, and the premise is really clean and modern, although with a London Caché. Breakfast is good and better than average, and reasonably priced when you buy the coupon the night before I have forgotten some staff in the room, and they kindly assisted me to get it back
The room can be cold, if you don't get the heater on, and understand the A/C system is also supposed to heat the room too. I shall have called reception and ask for assistance earlier int he evening....
The staff at breakfast were constantly cleaning up after everyone and the chef cooking off the menu was brilliant! The room we stayed in had the bed upstairs on a maizinee level - which was a nice surprise. Again the room was very clean. All the staff we incountered were all polite. The location was perfect for Hyde Park and Oxford Street.
There was nothing we didn't like about our stay the only feedback I could offer is that in the "lounge" area of the room, I would suggest to put a small coffee table in front of the chairs under the TV so there was somewhere to put the newspaper and it would be helpful to have a second remote rather than taking the one from the "bedroom" to the "lounge".
good location, easy walking distance to both paddington and lancaster gate tube stations as well as hyde park and queensway (where there are several chinese restaurant). no noise from the street toward my window. nice and hard working people. a good variety of food for breakfast.
smell in room
location is very good. but actually the lobby looks better than the rooms.
room was very small. and smell of the room is not so fresh.
The breakfast inuded with the reservation was excellent. Same staff as previous visit 18 months prior. Very friendly and helpful
They listed price as 425GBP on booking.com and on my card was charged 461 GBP. This was charged in advance. They "knew" I was Australian so they charged me in AU $ with their "good" conversion rate. Only problem was my card had GBP onto so it had to go through another exchange rate conversion. This meant I paid 35 GBP more than quoted. They were insistent they couldn't do anything about it till Monday (2 days later) when the manager came in. Finally offerred to reverse the transaction of AUD back to card which would have only incurred another double rate conversion!! They finally gave me complimentary breakfasts. But it is not good enough to charge you before you get there and choose the currency for you. I had no contact (or apology) from manager on the Monday or Tuesday. My advice is not to book accommodation were they ask you to pay in advance.
Rooms are not at all sound-proof - you can here almost every sound in the neighbouring ones. Very disappointing
Great staff and location
Stairs at the entrance
It's a decent hotel in terms of furnishings and design. There was definitely some thought put into making it look interesting, and give it a boutique feel. The lobby library looks nice, has a good feel and the room is clean and functional. The location is very good for Paddington Station, the Hyde Park and the tube.
It lacks authenticity and attention to details. Despite the nice wallpaper on the wall behind the bed the room looks spartan and could do with a couple of human touches. The one I've stayed in was also crammed next to the elevator in an obvious desire to maximize any available space. In sum functional and relatively nice but strangely looks a bit soulless.
Clean, comfortable, close to tube.
Loved the location. We took early morning walks through Kensington Park. Room was fine. Comfortable beds. Bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. Hair dryer & shampoo, etc were provided. Staff was helpful. We did not get the breakfast, choosing to explore and find breakfast on our own. Close enough to the Lancaster Gate tube that we could walk with our suitcases. Quiet location - we could sleep with our windows open. Excellent value for London.
The room could use a picture or two on the walls!
