Good location, easy to reach by underground. Hyde park is at walking distance. Breakfast was ok, lots to choose from. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. When we asked for a different room after a terrible first night, they made a good offer for an alternative room, which we accepted. Very noisy hotel, especially at the backside. There is a pub and a fighting couple kept us awake in the night. Room had a door leading to another room which results in being able to hear your neighbours talk as if they are standing next to you. Because of the noise we changed rooms after the first night. Appointed room and bathroom were the smallest I have ever seen (i am not kidding). Bathroom was max 2,5 m2, excl the bad tub of 1,4 m long. Room itself could nearly fit a 1.4 m wide bed, a desk and a chair. The lack of space did not feel good. Both rooms were really warm, airco did not work properly. We even didn't need sheets, that's how warm it was. For good coffee, visit Costa and skip the one from the hotel.

Beautifully refurbished throughout during Summer 2011- very modern and stylish. Very good choice and standard of breakfast included in the room rate, for which many competitors charge extra. Quiet, smart location, but really handy for local neighbourhood amenities, partic. Buses & tube at Lancaster Gate. Some rooms are very small for a double. Staff were rather impersonal, although helpful.

Everything is very good, especially the quiet but convenient location. Very clean room with modern design. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast starts at 7 but they allowed me to start 15 minutes earlier when I was in a rush for a day trip.

It was clean. The room was dark and dingy due to be in the basement and at the back of the hotel. Was woken up early by noises from the kitchen and a beer delivery from the pub next door. Breakfast was not great either. Had to hold the shower as it was so powerful if you left it on the hook it would turn itself around and the water would go on the ceiling.

Quite good space for a single room. Close proximity to the tube. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Poor natural light in the room, despite being on the 5th floor.

The welcome was excellent Breakfast was poor. Visitors to the uk must reckon our sausags are the worst food in the world, our scrabbled egg is made of rubber and our bacon is tasteless! Cheap is not a good idea Mr Caterering manager!!

I was in London with my 25-year old daughter. We visited London for celebration of our Birthdays (50 and 25), for shopping and for seeing London. We liked very much that the hotel was clean, bathroom was clean, breakfast was very god, staff very kindly, that the hotel is so near by the underground and near by the park. It was easy to find some places for some eating on the evening. As well perfect wifi! Everything was perfect! The ac was very noisy so we put it off. It was not such big problem for us, but I can imagine that this gives problems during summertime.

We left the hotel with very mixed feeing. Location is great, close proximity to Paddington, Lancaster Gate tube station, and the Hyde Park. Breakfast was very good, and coffee probably the best I ever tried at hotels. Small room with very tiny bathroom and gloomy interior. There were no wardrobe with shelves to put our clothes. Our room was at groung floor, and when it rained we couldn't sleep because of the rain water dropped and bubbled out of the window. Choice of toiletries was very scarce, there were no shower gel nor body lotion, and room service was reluctant to provide. The bed was full of sand on the first night, and we had to call reception to change sheets, the other nights it was OK.

The location is excellent but my room (single) was unapropriately tiny and although it was nicely furnished I felt extremely uncomfortable when I had to stay there. The staff was unfriendly, almost rude. Overall didn't seem to be good value for money. Wouldn't stay there again.

I've stayed at many hotels in London, esp. in Bayswater, and the Best Western Mornington was probably the best one. My single room was bigger than a usual London "shoebox" hotel room - same goes for the bathroom, it was clean - in fact spotless, the bed was comfy and the big telly was great and with lots of channels to choose from. The free WiFi in the rooms was nice, even though I think that should be normal standard at all hotels these days. Unfortunately most hotels still charge for using the internet, and the free WiFi was one of the main reasons for why I chose the Mornington in the first place. Breakfast was good and also included in the price. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Just around a corner and across the road to Hyde Park and with only a couple of metres to Lancaster Gate tube station as well as to two bus stops. There were just a few small details I didn't like: During my whole first day there was no WiFi and no hot water. Not so terrible about the WiFi, but having no hot water in winter was not so funny. The hotel left notes in front of the rooms' doors, in which they said that there would be "no hot water for 4 hours". That note was a nice gesture, but it didn't say from when to when those 4 hours were supposed to be, and in the end the whole thing took much longer than 4 hours, i.e. there was still no hot water late at night. Anyway, once both the WiFi and hot water issues were fixed all was fine. I was also not too happy about the service at breakfast at times. The first two mornings were fine and the staff were very attentive and nice, but on the other four mornings there were different people working there, including a very young chap (didn't get his name) who didn't seem to know what he was actually doing there. I had to wait ages to be offered a table and then to be asked whether I wanted coffee or tea. Well, I hope he was perhaps just a trainee in his first week... but then they shouldn't let him do the breakfast service all by himself. Last but not least there was a problem with the aircon being too noisy, even though I had it switched off all the time. It made humming and rattling noises, sometimes more, sometimes less. I had earplugs with me, though, so could easily sort of switch the problem off.
