Located on the scenic banks of the Thames, this hotel is ideal for Windsor, Legoland, Ascot Racecourse and London. Many rooms have small balconies and river views.

This historic country house is in large gardens, overlooking the River Thames. The 4-star Oakley Court Hotel offers free parking, an award-winning restaurant, and an indoor pool.
Score from 765 reviews Fabulous
Great spot, but would have expected a rather better restaurant
Room, garden and restaurant.
The beautiful well maintained grounds and close views of the river
The dining facilities separated by 100m, OK in good weather
Fabulous setting in Bray, a beautiful old village. Very relaxed atmosphere with gorgeous grounds and the Thames swirling past your window. Peacocks and geese everywhere.
Shame about the M25 traffic noise in the background. Also, the toilet would only flush once then not at all for ages. The small bin in the bathroom was dire, dented and rusted. Would hardly cost anything to replace with a nice shiny new one.
Bathroom was immaculate but bin and toilet brush holder were rusty.
Bed was extremely uncomfortable and too small for two people, therefore did not sleep a wink. Staff in dining room were not well trained - unattentive.
Gardens are nice. If only the same attention was given to the interior.
In need of a lot of investment
Monkey Island is beautiful and hotel surroundings give you some beautiful Pubs and it's a nice area for a run.
the rooms were disappointing. reminded me about UK visits around 1980. however, the rooms were clean and there was working Wi-Fi
The Location. The Gardens
Service in the restaurant was poor. Cleanliness was poor. The Hotel needs a complete overhaul
Beautiful river view Beautiful gardens and grounds Friendly staff in bar Peacocks on grounds, Breathtaking surroundings
For a deluxe room it was poor. Damp in the bathroom, toilet brush all rusty, no water, glasses or cups , no magazines, no flannels, no conditioner, small room, horrible mattress which gave me a frozen neck and I had to go and get a massage to ease the pain.No croissants at breakfast, no greek yogurt at breakfast, poor underwhelming buffet .When I asked about the deluxe room ( was told it would be spacious and it was tiny ) I was told it was deluxe because it had a good view.Really disappointed for my husbands Birthday .
Location, and grounds are great.Hotel reception were helpful.
Some of the catering & bar staff were not very professional, food was just adequate.
Our first stay at Monkey Island and we only booked because the place we regularly stay was fully booked. I couldn't believe it as we approached - a perfect spot on a loop in the Thames with pretty well-kept gardens. from the minute we arrived the staff were exceptionally friendly welcoming and helpful. When we asked if our bikes would be secure in the car park they offered to store them in the hotel overnight just to be sure. When we asked to eat supper in the garden they brought out a tablecloth and napkins just so we could have a proper dining experience.I can't quite believe what good value it was - we will certainly be back.
There was very little to not like to be honest! Our supper was fairly ordinary - but we could have eaten from the more exciting menu so it was our choice to go for something fairly ordinary.
The location was excellent
The service was a lot to be desired
Location, ideal. Staff willing; hotel's private gardens lovely; peacocks were beautiful
Bedroom poor; plumbing very poor; guest area carpets stained; property generally run down; staff (willing), but untrained; peacocks noisy; some rooms (probably even numbered) fairly noisy from M4 motorway. Room not serviced every day.
Staff lovely. Location location location - fab
Room basic. Toilet brush holder and waste bin rusty. Bed comfy but ancient.
Location and grounds by the river
Poor quality of the rooms which need some serious up dating
Gorgeous hotel and surroundings.
Room a bit basic. No air con and very stiff windows to open. Had to ask for Toast three times at breakfast.
Quirky and beautiful location.
The location is great for getting around the Windsor Ascot, area
Room, wall paper was peeling, bedside cabinets had water marks, bath looked well used and in need of modernising , even had to fix the shower to make it work.
Rooms were a bit tired
The location was beautiful.
Rooms a little tired could do with an update.windows were not easy to open and bathroom door was not easy to open.
Staff were friendly
Unorganised No soap Full of excuses Shabby rooms Shabby decor throughout
The garden surrounding the buildings is great
A bit of noise from the motorway No double glazed windows
Due to triathlon racing, we Requested an early breakfast of porridge and orange juice, ie before normal time; whilst the hotel said this was ok, they did not provide porridge as requested but some sort of granola - how difficult can that request be
Location, lovely setting.
Too much noise from M4, rooms are very tired as is much of the hotel. All a bit grubby. Breakfast was all under cooked too.
