Located on the scenic banks of the Thames, this hotel is ideal for Windsor, Legoland, Ascot Racecourse and London. Many rooms have small balconies and river views.

Because my husband fell in so we weren't able to make it in December. We had a wonderful time in the summer and fully intend to return in the New Year. We highly recommend the hotel and can't wait to return in 2015!
Could not work whilst staying here.
The road leading to the bridge filled with potholes. Hazardous walking from the car park to the hotel. Very poor lighting in the carpark & very badly lit from the bridge to the hotel. Rooms - bed very very uncomfortable, poor pillows. Windows would not open all paint peeling around the sills. Very poor.
Location excellent. Staff great. Dinner was good
The bed was awful. Uncomfortable, lumpy and sloping. The room was basic and the shower was more like a drip than a shower.
Lovely environment - very different from the usual hotel
Fairly small rooms
Location, looks lovely from the outside
Room was fine but generally the hotel felt very tired and uncared for. Breakfast was very poor
Relaxed atmosphere, wonderful location and friendly and efficient staff.
Room a little small
We absolutely loved this hotel! OK so it is a little jaded and could do with an update but the staff are wonderful and the setting extraordinary. We didn't sleep so well as were in room 17 (Don't have that room!) and the boiler was so noisy we couldn't sleep after 3am! But we reported it to Reception at the time and the manager in the morning who dealt with it well. The manager said that really he would have expected another room to have been made available to us despite the hour and as a result he have us a generous discount. It was just 'one of those things' and not only forgiven but we will be returning. The breakfast was fabulous too - all in all a great hotel for one night or a longer stay.
A little refurbishment is required - room 17 one of the blinds does not work and the other blind only raises half way for example.
The location was good and the bar food was excellent
the rooms although we paid for a deluxe double it was far from deluxe standard, the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows very hard. The bathroom was old and the toilet seat falling off. Overall the standard was very poor
Location and building was really lovely
My room 5 was old and tired. The bathroom had seen better days as had the wallpaper. My heater did not work so asked to be moved. I was moved to room 7 which was as bad as room 5 and the heater in this room didn't work either. I complained at the reception and was given a heater in my hands to carry to the room. This was a convector heater which was on all night. This gave me a severe sore throat in the morning. The breakfast was okay but the staff were not very forthcoming in directing me to it. I had to leave the building in the poring rain to get to the separate breakfast room.
-the gardens -the proximity to Bray village and to Maidenhead and to the M4 -the helpfulness of the reception staff
-internet was poor -the whole bedframe and mattress needed replacing along with the pillows -proximity to M4 meant it was noisy with windows open and with no air conditioning in the room we needed the windows open
Shabby bathroom - light out above sink, tiny, things broken, window blinds had cobwebs on them, one was broken so major job to get blind back up, couldn't get sash window to stay open, room smelled of sweaty feet!
how it would have been before M4 arrived
M4. tiredness of room. poor quality of breakfast especially the watery coffee.
Pleasant reception staff Good location as we were attending The Fat Duck for dinner Beautiful location
Rooms shabby, tiles blown in bathroom and dirty grout. Rooms need refurb Wfi reception poor No bedside lamps Bathroom shaver light not working
Motorway noise, unable to close window, broken blind. Unclean unhygienic bathroom, broken toilet seat, cracked bath. Poor Restaurant stained carpet, dirty glasses. Bar very expensive no nuts only plain crisps. 'Extensive grounds' covered in bird droppings
'Different' location. Room was pleasant.
'Wifi' only really worked in downstairs lobby area. Not possible anywhere else. A big downside if you want to work in your room.
THE HOTEL IS IN NEED OF AN UPDATE AND MODERNISATION TO BRING IT IN LINE WITH OTHER NEARBY HOTELS AND TO SUIT THE PERFECT LOCATION
Location, location, location. This was my second visit. There are celebrity pubs to eat at in nearby Bray village. For the conclusion of a hire car based UK tour, this is an alternative to staying at Hounslow etc. before flying out of LHR. Windsor is 6 miles away.
The WiFi connection is none existent. It could be fixed for a few pounds (spent at Maplin in Maidenhead?) for a cheap WiFi extender to plug in somewhere in the hotel reception area.
The gardens and the location. Waking up on the River Thames with wide life around was very exciting
The rooms was a little dated although they had tried to fix it up. The bed was old and well used
Location was lovely Bray village is very nice
Beds were uncomfortable. The decor & furniture in the bedroom needs updating
It was convenient for the dinner I was attending in Bray. The staff were attentive and friendly.
A general lack of investment. Window locks broken, blinds torn, carpet old. No thing disastrous but... Very clost to the M4.
Great spot, but would have expected a rather better restaurant
