Montagu Place Hotel2 Montagu Place,, Marylebone, W1H 2ER London (Show map) Excellent, Score from 116 reviews“This hotel is very convenient for a tour of London, the Tube Station is down the road and is convenient for the Big Bus Tours. The staff were exceptionally helpful and always welcomed you back from a long day out with a nice big drink. Very comfortable big bed and clean linen and towels, we would also recommend the area as it is relatively quiet for London. We would stay there again.”

Spacious room. The Tv sucks, signal was getting lost every 5 min and theu have no pay tv, the bathroom is small with no face towels, shower cap or complimentary toothbrushes there are no elavators so with lots of shopping I had to drag my bags up, im felt really bad for the workers who had to drag my suitcases up and down, I was on transit and they were really heavy. No Mini bar

Excellent staff were very welcoming. Basement room looked on to dingy yard and was quite small for the price - although nicely decorated. Money saving lights in bathroom took forever to warm up and were still dim at full power. Vent in bathroom kept turning on and off all night.

Comfortable quiet room. I love the neighborhood. Staff were young eager earnest willing and completely incompetent. At this price point, you are either paying for facilities or for service. This is a townhouse hotel, so no facilities other than the comfort of the rooms. But no services either. One would expect the staff to know the neighborhood, be able to instruct how to pick up messages from the vmail system, or place an international call--which they didn'T. The offer of a newspaper, or a flower or apple in the room or any small attempt at graciousness would have made a big difference to me when paying this price for a simple room.

I liked having a good range of magazines by my bed and a large pot of freshly ground coffee beans to use and a cafetierre room beautifully quiet I think for the price that breakfast should be included

The room was spectacular and the staff were extremely helpful. It even had air conditioning which is a first for a Georgian house type of UK hotel for us. It's pretty surprising to pay that much for a room & not get free breakfast – in fact, I'd expect a bottle of champagne! You do get 2 small free bottles of water, some apples, and free wifi. The breakfast didn't even look good (as well as costing £14 pp) so we wandered around trying to find one. We finally did in the Garden Café in Regents' Park, but then we couldn't wait for it as it was time to catch our plane. But for the record that café is open 7 days a week from 9am. Anyway, I think if we stayed again we wouldn't bother with the deluxe room.

This is possibly the best hotel experience I've had. I am a Hilton Gold card holder, so usually stay in Hiltons because of room upgrades. However, there were none available and I booked this one on a recommendation from a friend. I will stay here from now on.I was meeting my daughter to celebrate her 21st. The hotel laid on complementary champagne, recommended an excellent restaurant (The Arch?).The hotel had mentioned it was a special birthday and the hotel brought some beautiful little cakes with candles. Lovely surprise. Everyone in the hotel was so friendly. The room itself was spacious, quiet and had everything we need (real coffee much appreciated!). Breakfast was good. All in all, a wonderful experience. Couldn't fault this hotel at all - perfect

Fabulous place. Nicely appointed modern rooms with big beds. Very good breakfast. The location in Marlebone is close to Marble Arch, Regent's Parkk, Selfridges, and an enormous number of restaurants. No elevator....you should tell them if you need to be near the ground level.

The location is very convenient - a 7 pound taxi ride from Paddington and a 10 minute walk to Baker Street Tube. The staff are extremely courteous, friendly and helpful and it has that 'personal feel' about the place. The room and the bathroom were a little on the small side, but this is London!!

I liked the hotel's modern decor very much. The staff were smiling and friendly. There were complimentary coffee and tea in the room and they were replenished as promised when we had checked in. The towel rail in the bath room could be bigger.

Modern clean comfortable room, nice welcome, very helpful staff, Molten Brown toiletries, spacious shower, quiet safe street in great area only 2 tube stops from Oxford Circus (Bakerloo to Baker St, followed by short 5 min walk), and all this for only £120 in central London! Fantastic value for money. As this is a small hotel (16 room period conversion), there is no bar or restaurant, just a drinks cabinet behind the reception desk, so don't book if you're looking for a lively hotel with large scale facilities. 'Comfy' room was small, but very nicely decorated.

The staff are personable, knowledgeable and professional, always willing to assist and capable of providing for every need I had. The hotel is centrally located and very close to the Bakerloo line which connects with many important other lines, giving access to London at your fingertips. The Swanky Rooms have wonderful bathrooms (I took a soak every night after a long day of sightseeing and shopping!) I checked out early and there was a dispute regarding hotel policy and what I would be charged for early check-out, for not only the day I was checking out but also for the price per day they wanted to change if I checked out early. Please be sure to understand their policy fully if there is any chance you may check out early.

Its situation is fantastic. We had an evening function in Park Lane and enjoyed a pleasant walk both to and from the hotel even in high heels it was an easy walk. The next morning it was just a short stroll down to Oxford Street to visit the shops. Also it was really quiet. For such a central location that was quite a find. The size of the double bed, I would have prefered a queen size. There was room for one in the bedroom I think it would have been more comfortable but thats because we are used to a little more room. A minor critism for what was a gem of a find.

The location was great. It is very close to Marylebone village but far enough away to be quiet. The staff are very hospitable and friendly, which is rare in a London hotel! I asked to change rooms as there was a noisy heating unit right below my window and they were very accommodating about it and moved me to the top floor. Other people made comments about the stairs and lack of lift but this is not a problem unless you are not fit or mobile or you have very heavy luggage. The price. I think it is a bit overpriced at 190 pounds per night. It is very comfortable, clean and reasonablt spacious, but I feel for that price they could throw in the continental breakfast and not charge extra for it.

I have travelled a lot, and stayed in some of the world's top hotels. The service at teh Montagu Place Hotel is the best service I have experienced anywhere, ever. London is expensive. The Montagu is well priced for it's location - a 10 minute walk to Selfridges & Oxford Street. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. Molton Brown toiletries. The breakfast generous (very good coffee) and the agreement they have with the local Thai restaurant - the food was magnificent.

Small, discreet, boutique style London hotel in Marylebone. Very comfortable, great service. Lift would be nice...especially on top (3rd) floor. Also food and bar offering is quite limited - hot food orders come from nearby Thai restaurant.

This hotel is very convenient for a tour of London, the Tube Station is down the road and is convenient for the Big Bus Tours. The staff were exceptionally helpful and always welcomed you back from a long day out with a nice big drink. Very comfortable big bed and clean linen and towels, we would also recommend the area as it is relatively quiet for London. We would stay there again.
