Just half a mile from Bournemouth Pier, Ramada Encore offers hearty breakfasts, a 24-hour front desk and free internet access. The Pavilion Theater is just a 10 minute walk away.
Score from 370 reviews Very good
Lovely stay, lovely hotel, breakfast was yummy.
Being woke up at 6:30 by the ridiculously squeaky floor boards in the room above. We stayed in room 3, was lovely. But could hear the people in the room above moving around from 6:30 to about 8am. Squeak squeak squeak , was driving us mad!
Friendly and efficient staff. Good location for seaside, town, shopping and restaurants.
Room facilities a little more tired and in need of some TLC since our previous stay 2-3 years ago.
Did what it needed to for a weekend stay.
Slightly creaky floorboards, but it didn't bother me too much.
The car park was full and yet , he said he would fit us in somewhere, this is a huge relief when parking, and takes the worry off, right away. Excellent breakfasts, sets you right up for the day. Good evening meal. Very hospitabile staff.
Staff were friendly & helpful, good location a few minutes from West Cliff sea front
Our room at the front of the hotel had a lot of traffic noise well into the early morning.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Good location will definitely stay here again
Squeaky floor boards. Price a bit high as breakfast is not included, small rooms and no air conditioning.
We enjoyed our short stay (1 night), the room was adequate and the breakfast very good
The creaking floor boards - from the people upstairs at 7am was a bit of a nuisance
Staff were very friendly and excellent location.
I think that the hotel need a more detailed cleaning, the bathroom has a lot of dust and some parts are dirty. The chairs of the breakfast room are full of dust and the old chairs under the stairs give an impression of even more dirt.
Good value for money, although a little basic. Breakfast was good. Location close to the Beach.
Poor Wifi signal, only available in one corner of the Lounge area.
Bathroom tiny and no adequate ventilation because of lack of window.
Receptionist on duty on day of arrival was exceptional, very positive, professional, friendly with a can-do attitude, sadly the issues we addressed were obviously ongoing ones that needed other trades/staff involved. The lady in question is the only positive aspect of the hotel I'm afraid who did an excellent job within the limitations imposed on her. Location was ok to access Bournemouth sights.
We had two rooms, one for my parents and one for myself and my daughter as we were visiting family in the area. We were firstly in rooms 1 and 2, then 16 and 20. No air con, very hot rooms, downstairs room windows opened completely so no security, there was no blind in the bathroom just a filthy grey net curtain, there were stains on the mattress protector on double bed, hotel radio music was still on at 11pm in corridor, lots of noise from upstairs movement ? room under corridor? cleaning staff congregated outside rooms early in morning chatting. We were promised an upgrade, the only 'up' was in the 'upstairs', too hot again, only small top window opened so there was effectively no fire escape from room and you could not ventilate room with fresh air adequately, there was no fan made available, traffic noise was very disruptive as had to keep window open to breathe, breakfast staff were not friendly in any way and seemed quite put out that we were 15 minutes away from last breakfast time at 10am. Such a shame that it impacted on the enjoyment of our visit and opportunity to feel relaxed and comfortable.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Room very clean & tidy Breakfast was very good.
Floorboards very 'creaky' both in room and the room above. Beer at bar (Boddingtons) was flat/off. Swapped for Stella Atois which was acceptable but not great Many TV channels were poor quality/not available due to poor signal strength. Wi-Fi in room was low signal/poor.
Staff are always so nice and helpful and feel if there is a problem they would sort it.. Shower so easy to operate which can be a problem in some hotels you either get too hot water or too cold.
Ensuite just a bit tiny but realise there is no other way of putting in a shower and toilet
Good buffet and cooked breakfast. Very good location in Bournemouth convenient for the promenade. Off street parking.
Close from the seaside Close from the shops and town center
WiFi is really really slow, barely working Not extremely clean
The staff where very helpful and accommodating. It was a nice hotel with adequate room.
in no way is this the fault of the hotel, but I was sick with a bug whilst staying. It put a dampener on the stay.
At top of a hill
Overall it was a good experience, staff were very friendly. Our room was small but fine for one night.
Very slow service for dinner, food was very average. Do not recommend eating there, plenty of other places to eat locally. limited choice of alcohol, advised they could only provide a single shot of spirit for my colleagues drink as the bottle was empty and they did not have another!
When we stayed there the weather was hot and we had our window open. Unfortunatly our room was above the kitchens and we had a very noisy extractor fan under our window that emited cooking smells untill about 10pm. The room was a double but the beds were 2 single beds pushed together with a groove down the middle. Bit noisy at night as overlooked entry to car park. My review is purely based on my room 8. I cant speak for other rooms.
staff service location close to restaurants
Extremely bad value £234 for 2 nights in a 2* standard hotel.
Staff very friendly
Cold shower and hard bed.
- Breakfast was very good - Able to arrange at very short notice and to check in after midnight
- Had to find (free) parking space in a nearby street. - Creaky floorboards throughout the bedroom. - Shower room very small, albeit clean and effective.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Easy going - not bothered with guests coming and going 24-7. Very good location for center of Bournemouth, town, beach etc.
Small bathroom, hard to get in/out with double bed blocking door to it. Small car park.
