The staff were excellent and the location was wxcellent for a city break. The room was pokey. There were many minor maintenance issues and the wifi needed technical attention.

Beautifully appointed rooms and friendliness of all staff we came into contact with. Excellent location for theatre/shopping break. Small for a superior double room.

This hotel has a lovely boutique feel. The public spaces were so comfortable and inviting -- the bar and conservatory are perfect for a pre-theatre drink or an afternoon nibble. The staff were wonderfully kind and welcoming. Amazing location for Bloomsbury and Covent Garden activities. Bed extremely comfortable! The description of the room (deluxe king) indicated that it "features an elegant separate sitting area", but this turned out to be a workdesk only. There was no comfortable place in the room for sitting down to eat room service, for example. I had selected a high-level room (at extra cost) for a romantic night away, so was disappointed in this.

Location excellent for west end theaters shopping and dinning. All the staff at the hotel were just fantastic, we've traveled a lot over the years and I can honestly say the Montague is right up there with the best for service and friendliness.

Staff were so welcoming and absolutely superb. Beautiful hotel with lovely, individually designed, guest rooms, with all facilities needed and more besides. Great location for West End - not too near, not too far, close to Tube. Great breakfast. Loved everything.

Great location, comfortable beds, clean room. Nice to have teapot in the room. Towels were large, robe comfortable, hotel quiet, had a working lift. Good reliable wireless internet, included in the room, easy to access. Nice public space downstairs. Friendly and courteous housekeeping staff. It cost more than I expected. The food was not good. The reception staff were slow to accommodate an early arrival and forgot to inform me when the room was ready. I got food poisoning from dinner in the restaurant (at least that seemed the likely cause given the timing). There was no shuttle service to the airport.

Everything. This was our third stay at the Montague. We must like it or we would not keep going back! We were upgraded to a Master Suite or arrival. That set the tone for the whole stay.

The hotel has an excellent location in Bloomsbury, near to St Pancras for the Eurostar and Heathrow Express, as well as bing within walking distance of central London attractions and two tube stations. There rae plenty of eating options close by, as well as the hotel restaurant. The service was attantive and the hotel very clean. The atmosphere is old world charm. The room we had (which was advertised as superior), had so much funiture in it that we had difficulty finding room for two suitcases. For travellers with baggage the rooms would work much better with less "business' furnture (large desk and office chair) which take up too much space. For a business traveller on his or her own it is probably fine. The option when booking to identify the purpose of the stay and to have less furntiure and more space would make this hotel more holiday and traveller friendly.

The Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean We booked a superior double which was only big enough for a single person. There was no storage as the small wardrobe was already full with a safe, hairdryer, iron & board and tea making items. We had to keep our things in our suitcase which we had to store under a small desk. We could not move around the room. It was a nightmare. The room was 121 but from reading the other reviews many rooms are the same. I will not be staying there again

Excellent staff and good food. When 2 members of the lobby staff are happy to stand, one at each end of the street, in order to intercept taxis for waiting guests, one has to be impressed and this attitude was apparent in every staff member we encountered. Room 215 is very small. The bar, the draught beer lines were not being cleaned correctly. There was a slight taint to the beer taste
