The Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean We booked a superior double which was only big enough for a single person. There was no storage as the small wardrobe was already full with a safe, hairdryer, iron & board and tea making items. We had to keep our things in our suitcase which we had to store under a small desk. We could not move around the room. It was a nightmare. The room was 121 but from reading the other reviews many rooms are the same. I will not be staying there again

Location excellent for west end theaters shopping and dinning. All the staff at the hotel were just fantastic, we've traveled a lot over the years and I can honestly say the Montague is right up there with the best for service and friendliness.

Staff were wonderful, room was fine but a little over priced I thought, but think we didn't have one of the "better" rooms. Would definitely stay again. Nice bar & lounge. A lovely feel to hotel. Room a bit small & a little dated for price.

Excellent service from all the staff. Beautifully decorated room. We also love the location - Russell Square and the British Museum. This is our favourite hotel in London and we will return soon. It is an oasis in the city.

You are treated as royalty from the very second you walk through the door. They really do want you to enjoy your stay. I have been in a number of hotels but this is truly the best Kevin Baker

The receptionist was considerate and so very helpful, thank you, as were the staff at breakfast. I thought it was a bit pricey and they could do with more rooms with showers, in place of baths.

The attention and care for the customer to the very detail; free wi-fi ( without having to ask for it); clean, polite, helpful personnel; atmosphere and decor. I would have liked a little more space in the room (I had booked a single room)

We received a warm welcome, the room was spacious and was a home from home. We had only been in the room 5 minutes when we were called to see if everything was ok. Staff could not have been more polite nor helpful ( they really mean no request is too small) We will return; it is an excellent hotel in a central location near theatres and British Library

Wonderful staff, very comfortable and clean room, only minutes from where our daughter was attending a course. This was our second stay at the hotel. There were a few little hiccups such as newspapers not being delivered, shower gel and loo paper not being automatically replaced, which explain why we have not given a full 10 this time around. Our tv initially did not work and we had to call for technical help, when part of the equipment was very swiftly replaced. We feel this sort of issue should not happen and equipment should be checked before guests arrive.

All the staff were excellent- really attentive, happy to serve us and cheerful and efficient. This is the kind of courtesy one seldom finds even in five star hotels these days. The hotel is very relaxing with a kind of colonial feel to it- old fashioned values and comfy seating areas. The room, a superior king, was well appointed with quality fittings. It was spotlessly clean. We also love the location at Russell Square. As other people have found, the room was tiny, even by London standards. For one or two nights, this is ok, but could feel very cramped if one was staying for a week.

A very luxourious hotel experience. Felt very spoilt but at the same time all staff friendly and helpful. I was originally going to travel on my own and would have been very happy as a solo visitor staying at this hotel. Noted for my next trip to London.

The staff were professional and friendly and willing to help with any query. They organized some theatre trips for me and made sure i got good seats. The room we had was very comfortable although small compared to Ausrralian standards. Bed was comfortable although bit soft for me. We went out walking each morning in the russel square gardens which was a pleasant start to the day.
