Staff bar rooms food service excellent
Room and location is perfect. Close to the subway and central location. Walking distance to several other attractions. Cleaning and staff overall were excellent!
From check in to check out, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Had a room upgrade to a suite - amazing free of charge. Everything was superb. Outstanding staff.
Lots of staff everywhere. Mostly nice and friendly
Housekeeping knocking on door repeatedly. Initially to give some biscuits (which were a nice touch and delicious), but had only just got into room after a very long trip, in the bathroom, she just kept knocking and knocking until I answered. A less intrusive thing would be, if dont answer after first knock, to leave them outside door and maybe slip a not under door alerting to fact that they were there. Next night she again knocked repeatedly to check whether bed had been turned down. After that I just kept the do not disturb light on all the time I was in the room whcih worked.
service very good.staff is friendly
The staff are very attentive. Our room was fairly small but very nicely decorated, although the style will not suit all. The live music in the bar was very good.
Breakfast not included.
The friendliness and competence of the staff and the room and facilities of the hotel were excellent.
Decor is beautiful. Staff very friendly. Good location near Kings Cross.
Nothing I disliked.

Staff and customer service Breakfast Hotel decor and ambience Location
Very friendly and helpful staff, we got a free upgrade to help us accomodate the baby bed comfortably. Very good breakfast - excellent value for money.
Amazing location, service....pure luxury!
Staff were friendly and attentive Room was nicely decorated and clean Quiet
Considering we were "upgraded" I thought the room was quite small. They were a bit mean with the tea and coffee in the room
Attentive staff providing excellent service
Drinks a little pricey, but it is central London. Will still use it again
Impeccable service. fantastic room. free upgrade to a suite. All of this, but not in the slightest pompous. perfect really. Breakfast to die for too.
Struggling with this bit.... Nothing.
The staff at the Montague were the most welcoming, friendly and helpful I have ever come across. My dog was given VIP treatment too and we both had a terrific stay. My room was also extremely quiet and some delicious home made cookies had been left for me. Really like home from home. I will definitely stay again.
The rooms were a little cramped and the bed sloped slightly sloping, but nothing that would put me off returning.
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff.
location, attentiveness of the staff, service, comfort of the bed and room.
the room was even smaller than the one I stayed in last time which I was not sure was possible. the hotel was not crowded (this from the concierge) so there was a larger room available.
My husband and I travel frequently for business and pleasure. Our stay at The Montague on the Gardens was the most pleasant hotel stay we have ever experienced anywhere. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely personable and unerringly helpful. Excellent breakfast and bar food. The standard room was the typical small -size -in -a -big -city one, but completely functional and well designed for travelers' comfort. There was a good choice of comfortable public spaces where one could relax, eat, and read, and a lovely large garden space to admire. A welcome relief from the generic blandness found throughout the hotel industry. On a very quiet street; excellent location for visits to British Museum, Bloomsbury, rail and Underground connections. High recommended and we hope to stay there again.
The size of the standard room made it difficult for a couple to navigate even with just two midsize suitcases. Generous closet space and thoughtful space planning helped a lot.
Wonderful welcome when we arrived, lovely room overlooking the gardens at the back of the hotel (so exceptionally quiet), very pretty room décor with everything little thing you could think of catered for, one of the most comfortable beds we have ever had in a hotel. The location of the hotel is brilliant for us - walking distance from Euston, right by the British Museum and very close to the Oxford Street/Covent Garden/theatre land hub, as well as several underground stations. The breakfast was excellent (very fresh, very hot, very peaceful for a city centre hotel) and the meal we had in the Bistro one evening was delightful - both the quality of the food and the service. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will now make it our first choice whenever we travel to London (this was our first stay at the The Montague but we will be back!). Every member of staff we encountered made us feel right at home. Thank you!
Well, first of all, i would like to talk about the staff. All of them are beyond perfect!! They are so nice and friendly and ready to help about everything! I loved them all :) my room was very small but nice decorated in British style. The wifi was the fastest when i compare with rest of the hotels i ever stayed. If you stay there, you should definitely make a reservation for afternoon tea. It was amazing!!
