Leaving Chris - I would put him down as the rudest most unpleasant person to deal with. I have never experienced such rudeness for someone working in the hotel industry. He would be mire suited to working with Ryanair.

Very cheap and very poor hotel. How can they show prices like that (from 380 to 1000 £ per night) and discount of 85% !!!! it's false and tricky that you publish and collect such prices/discounts best MDG

I thought the location was excellent, two minutes from Gloucester Road underground, ten minutes from the v&a museum and a fifteen minute walk from the Royal Albert Hall. Hotel is located in a street with lots of interesting shops and restaurants and the hotel itself incorporates an indian restaurant. Staff were helpful and polite. Rooms have most standard facilities except a tea tray. Bathroom was small however that is reflected in the competitive room price. Would definitely stay again.

The location was perfect. Across the road from Gloucester Road tube station. There are loads of restaurants and bars around, an atm and and a Boots chemist on the corner. I ended up with a quiet room on the 4th floor. There was plenty of hot water and a TV with a few decent channels. I found breakfast was good with plenty of cereal and fresh fruit, and toast on offer. Cooked breakfast was extra if you wanted it. I was offered a basement room first. It was dark and rather frightening and had the constant sound and sight of feet walking on the pavement outside. It reminded me of a very depressing student flat I once stayed in. But they moved me on request although they didn't seem very happy about my request. The hotel did not seem that busy so I was very disappointed to be offered such a poor room. There were no toiletries, just a small bar of soap and a rather thin towel. There also was no tea /coffee facility in the room which I would have welcomed. The bed sheet had a hole and some old marks on it.

Location for Royal Albert Hall and Natural History Museum was perfect for us. We spent over 2 hours locked out of our room because the electronic lock failed. This we understand was a recurrent problem with our room, (and other rooms) and needs addressing if other guests are not to go through the same waste of time. To add insult to injury there was a lack of communication between staff and the receptionist at check out tried to charge us a late booking out charge. The room was fine for what we wanted but I wouldn't use the word "deluxe". Ensuite shower and toilet was very cramped and you had to step up into it.

The location and the hotel stuff that was always helpful. The things this hotel didn't offer (only one towel each day and no shower gel - I've travelled in many parts of Europe and this was a first for a 3 star hotel). The so-called "free breakfast" that consisted (if we count out coffee, water, milk and jams) of 3 plates of fruit (from tin cans, not frresh), four containers of cereals and 8 slices of toasted bread (again compared with othr hotels I've stayed in this was nothing).

The location is very good. Quick & easy access to metro. Many places to eat, pubs & stores in the immediate area. In most hotels you get your shampoo, shower gel, soap, your shoe shine, etc. All the Montana offered was a 1 mini bar of soap. On top of that, the room was sold as 'breakfast included', but breakfast was 4 pieces of toast with some butter & jam, orange juice, apple juice, coffee & tea. If you wanted eggs (?!), bacon, sausage or anything else, you had to pay extra. Talk about cheap...

Easy acess to Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park Knightsbridge shops and museums.Opposite Gloucester Road Underground station for connection to Heathrow. Excellent in- house Indian Reaturant. Good air conditioning. Very small rooms, poor on-suite facilities. Frugal breakfast, Very polite but inefficient staff. We had to be moved to a less attactive room due to water seeping through ceiling.

The location is very good, close to Gloucester road Tube station, Tesco & various types of cafe. The air-con/heater is not working well, it has an automatic shut-off for 20-min. so my daughter & me were freezing cold in the London -2C during our 2-nite stay. There were also no face towels & floor mat provided.

Cheap price Breakfast is served too late, only from 7:15. I missed it because I had to rush to the airport. WiFi does not work on the 3rd floor, at least in room 301. I had to work in the lobby the whole night to finish my work. The porter was not helpful with dealing with the WiFi problem. He said "wait till the morning", which was impossible for me. I have never seen toilet inside the room separated just with a curtain.

Very convenient placement right opposite Gloucester Rd Station (which is a very convenient station by itself). Clean. Quite polite people. The room was at the basement (our view was people's feet passing by) and it was rather cold. There was only soap and a broken lock at the bathroom that tore my shirt (they said they will fix it). The breakfast was rather poor. But overall ok.

The service was exceptional at the Montana Hotel. All of the staff, especially Elvis and Peter, were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was very nicely laid out and the housekeeping staff did a very good job. The daily breakfast was very nice - food was good and atmosphere was pleasant. The location of the hotel was convenient to many things - shopping, restaurants, etc. I would highly recommend the Montana Hotel. There was nothing that I did not like about the Montana Hotel.

They have the Economy Room for a single traveller. The location is superb very close to underground station and walking distance to few places! The lift is very slow and quite small!
