The central position of Montcalm Hotel makes it an exceptional base for both the leisure and business traveller in one of the greatest and most historic cities in the world. The Montcalm Hotel is a four star deluxe hotel, discreetly located in a quiet tree-lined Georgian Cresent, just two minutes walk from Marble Arch, Hyde Park and shopping areas of Mayfair and Oxford Street. A perfect destination for both the visitor to London's West End and the business traveller.
Charming private rooms and conference suites, each with the added attraction of natural daylight, combined with luxurious accommodation, excellent cuisine in our award winning Crescent Restaurant, and the comfortable club-like atmosphere of the lounge and cocktail bar, help to take the pressure away from today's professionals.
Pets are not accommodated for in this hotel.
Non-smoking facilities are available.

Food & beverage

Japanese breakfast at the Montcalm Hotel's Crescent Restaurant is to be experienced and appreciated; as must the amazingly invigorating effect that this healthy, low calorie meal has on the body.

The healthy attributes of the breakfast are numerous; Miso soup (made from fermented soya bean) is high in vitamin B, seaweed is rich in minerals and reputedly purifies the blood of pollution, natural pickles aid digestion, and the positive effects of oily fish on the brain and joints have been well documented.

Japanese breakfast costs GBP 19.95 per person and is served daily between 07:00 and 10:00 (07:30 and 11:00am Saturday, Sunday and public holidays).

The Crescent is an airy and light restaurant serving imaginative choices of dishes including seasonal specialities. It is open for lunch from 12:30 until 14:30 Monday to Friday, dinner from 18:30 until 22:30 Monday to Sunday.

All our elegantly decorated double rooms have a comfortable king or queen size bed. All our elegantly decorated single rooms have a comfortable single queen size bed. All our elegantly decorated twin rooms have two comfortable single queen size beds. In the tranquil surroundings of your room especially designed with colour scheme and light furniture you will find all modern facilities, such as individual air conditioning, high speed internet access, voicemail, CNN & Blomberg Channels, Pay-Tv, in-room safe, trouser press, mini-bar, en suite bahtroom with bathrobes, superior amenities, bath and power shower.

Area information

If you want to hit the shops, The Montcalm Hotel is where you want to be. Located a 2-minute walk from Selfridges, one of the largest department stores in London, you'll also be an equal distance from all the surrounding boutiques and shops in Oxford and Bond Street.

Also near the hotel is the famous Wallace Collection: a fabulous mansion full of antique furniture and paintings.

A short bus ride away is Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.

Very good location, excellent speed when checking in and checking out.

Not so friendly staff & they barely speak English. Also I asked for a power adapter which is a basic item in a London hotel, I was advised by the staff to go buy one from the shop around the corner!!! At least if they don't have it, out of convenience, they could've offered to buy it for me & charge my bill!! In addition, they couldn't provide me with an iron board, what a disappointment!!

Hotel in quiet crescent therefore traffic noise was minimal at night. Pleasant, helpful staff.

there was a fridge in the room instead of a minibar which in my opinion is more useful but it was rather dirty inside.

The location is great, I stayed 5 days, did not use the underground even once, just in the center of the city, off oxsfored street very neer to bus station and tube station, I defently use it again

Receptionist was incredibly surly - I have had her before. She should be fired! Room was dirty, sink cracked, nothing in mini bar and tv remote didn't work. Apart from that it was brilliant!!!

Good price, great location. Fab sized towels

Paid for room up front and the so called express check out???? well the lady on the desk ignored me when I was there as she was on the phone and then made a point of 'just checking' my account as she did not believe I'd paid!!! v poor attention to detail.

We got upgrade to a duplex room which was very nice. It sits in a quiet area.

It's a bit outdated.
