I didn't like the parking -- there was none. I didn't like the whole ambience of the hotel. I didn't like the decoration -- the carpets were particularly ghastly. It was far more of a BandB than a hotel. There were no staff on duty.

Our room was clean and comfortable, although the bed was a bit firm. The situation is excellent, being very close to both the promenade and the shops. The breakfast was something else - a true full english. What a feast. Unfortunately, no lift, and as we were on the 3rd floor, a bit of a jaunt.

Location was excellent. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Service was great and staff friendly.Would stay again. Only problem was that booking through Booking.com cost us extra as we ended up paying for 4 people for a family room although there were only 3 of us.

Location was very good, breakfast good. The decor is slightly dated. The location of my bedroom meant I could hear everbody passing by, floorboards and doors creaked. However, it is the lack of parking that would prevent me from returning in the future.

We found the hotel was ideally situated for all our activities. The owners and staff were very pleasant. The room was very clean and we had a good view of the seafront. I also found the car parking situation very adequate for the size of the town. The hotel car park was very limited and the staff did not offer car parking facilities.

Location was fab Breakfast was good. Didn't see much of the staff butwhen we did - eg at breakfast time they were accommodating and friendly Family room nice size We enjoyed the views from the top floor The bits that counteracted the good stuff and lead us to our scores above are:- Double bed was uncomfortable Bathroom had a damp problem- smelled because of it In the corner of the main room near to the bathroom I noticed silverfish- probably because of the damp- so ensured none of our gear (bags etc) were left on the floor At £230 for a family for 2 nights we felt the price was too high for what you got. This was B&B quality not hotel quality. The price should have reflected that.

The location of the hotel was ideal and our room number 7 overlooked the sea front it was comfortable and convienent. I would stay there again Personal taste - The decor was quite outdated and with very little effort the hotel could be made even better. Not sounding too much like a hotel inspector and a little declutter along with matching accessories would benefit the hotel immensley. It would look far bigger than the first impression and would benefit the hotel imensley. On saying that is our personal opinion -

The ghost in room 6 paid a visit, but nothing to be concerned about We only had one visit, albeit it brief, no harm done. The hotel is good and the service is also good. The staff very helpful. We will visit again, and request room 6 !! Problems on tv reception, but this was rectified in due course.

The owners Tess and Ian were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless with everything you needed. Breakfast was excellent, great choice and plenty of it. Couldn't fault it at all. The location is perfect, right on the seafront with everything near at hand. We were made to feel very welcome. There was nothing we didn't like.

Welcoming staff, Beautiful breakfasts, Clean and relaxing bedrooms. What more can you ask for? It would be nice if there was more parking space, but given it's location and the fact there are plenty more parking spaces but a short walk away this hotel definitely ticks the right boxes, both for value for money and treatment. Ian and Tess did a wonderful job of taking care of me (on quite short notice too) and I will definitely be coming back again! Thankyou!

Fantastic breakfasts! Very helpful staff. Clean, comfortable accomodation. We were given the option of a sea view, which is a nice touch. There was nothing we didn't like, and we'd recommend it to anyone (especially parents and children)

Unfiortunately there was nothing we liked Male owner on arriving abrupt, very dismissive, obviously more used to coach type trip where people just want somewhere to sleep. Very dated and cluttered, could see only dusted eye level area's. Felt very much get us in and out, kept saying how buy they were, but onwalking along hotels, all others had no vacancies signs up, they had vacancies think that says its all. Would not stay there again, very disappointing after the write up on Internet.

It is classed as a 4star hotel but having stayed in many 4 star hotels I would never class this one as 4 star. 2 star is nearer the mark. Its a very old building, windows are disgusting and balcony attached to our room was filthy with wiring hanging out and contained in sandwich boxes.Carpets are worn and the whole place is musty.

“The locatiion of this hotel is superb as it is on the beach front with only a short walk around the corner to the towns high street. Decour and fittings are all in good modern taste with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all polite, well presented and helpful. In particular, i found the young lady receptionist a credit to the establishment. My room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning had the usual choice of full english, toast and cereals.” Richard, Biggleswade |
