Good location Comfortable hotel Nice breakfast with attentive staff
Difficulty in parking near to the hotel (not the fault of the hotel, but the parking restrictions placed on them by the local Council). You would think that the Council would want to attract as many day/week-end trippers to their lovely amenities without the hindrance of the 90 minute parking rule!!!! Completely ridiculous. It can't help local businesses much either!!!!
Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was really good Very handy location for seeing llandudno
Decoration and furnishing very dated and in need of some tlc.
I been using this hotel "Montclare/Cumberland" everytimes I go down for business, I couldn't find any bad works to say about the place and the owner was very accommodating. What a lovely couple and very funny specially "Ian" the husband. The breakfast was superb!! the amount of food on my plate was enough for two people!! Staff was really nice, helpful and very friendly. Fantastic stay and will come again!!
None at all
Room dated. Bed uncomfortable. Pictures of rooms on web site not what you get.
Ambience, decor & freindly staff.
Sea views Location to town and local sights Breakfast
Single glazed sash windows can be a bit noisy No lift and quite steep stairs Limited parking available
For us the location was perfect, our room was very comfortable and we had a wonderful sea view.We will certainly stay again when we return to Llandudno.
Great location and hearty breakfast
Very cramped double room with tiny bathroom. You had to open the door to bend down to use the hand basin.
Loved the old-fashioned British seaside holiday hotel feel that I'd seen in movies and read about, combined with the comfort of ensuite and very comfortable room. Great views! Loved being able to stop off for a drink in the private bar after dinner out! All very welcoming and obliging!!
Not really a problem to us, but the steps up to the rooms could be an issue for less physically able people, especially those with heavy luggage.
The location is excellent and the views from the rooms overlooking the sea are really nice. The breakfasts are very good and a good starter for the day. We had a good welcome and all the staff are very helpful. We enjoyed a really nice visit.
We liked the position of the hotel and the lovely sea view from our bedroom. You could see the sea when you lay in bed which was wonderful. The breakfast was a very high standard. Great idea to serve the baked beans in a little pot on the side.
The lounge area needs to be updated. Very bright decor. Having said this, everywhere was spotlessly clean.
Room don't have window, only fire escape door. Double bed was made from two single beds. Strange noices in the walls, i assume heating system problems.
fantastic staff really nice couple that run the place very friendly and helpful after my long drive from Guildford, Surrey, The morning breakfast was of a good standard and there was loads of it to be honest I down again on business next week so I will book them again I could not find a bad word to say about them.
Cosy room with all amenities, staff friendly lovely scenic views from windows. Breakfast excellent.
There was no dislikes!
Old fashioned service, very helpful staff, ample breakfast choice. Good location, nice and quiet.
More or less opposite the Pier, parking a bit difficult but its the same for most llandudno hotels. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good although no fresh fruit was on offer.
Our room was in the Cumberland side where the bar is. Sounds of talking travelled upstairs. Doors could do with silent closing devices as a family with a little boy were in and out the room a lot, banging the door shut. Twin room was 2 singles pushed together and sharing a duvet, so a double!
The location right on the promenade, just minutes from the beach, pier and shopping area. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. The family room was spacious and comfortable. The view from the room was fabulous.
The family room was on the very top floor (a number of flights of stairs) and we weren't told this when booking, fortunately my toddler was just out of his pram but had this been a couple of weeks earlier this would have been a major problem carrying both a pram and a baby. Not particularly convenient or easy for families with small toddlers or babies. The wifi connection, which was free to use, was extremely poor in our room.
Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was great - overall very enjoyable stay.
Not a great amount of parking but there was a long stay car park a short walk away
Good breakfast, nice staff, good location. Good coffee set. Nice front room. Wifi good.
Back bedroom was small, bathroom very small (but clean). No Lift (I had my 87 year old mother with me) (but I got a ground floor room). Limited parking (but I got a space).
We were on the 3rd floor 54 steps phew!! Also poor parking
Very good service. Excellent breakfast. Four poster bed super! View from bedroom out across the promenade and the bay was lovely too.
Location Breakfast good
smell to many ornaments moving tables for breakfast every day. owners with little communication bathroom small and too many stairs even to the first floor poor parking facilities no good for older people
