Perfect weekend. Sue and Paul fabulous hosts and recommended great places to eat. Couldnt of asked for anything better :)
comfy bed, clean, nice breakfast, everything worked, maps available to borrow, advice available from friendly owners
very small ensuite bathroom; room on small side & no sitting room in house (sitting rooms are rare in Windermere, which is so popular B&Bs tend to pack them in & still be fully booked most of the year). Seemed a bit expensive, though actually is going rate for Windermere
Very comfy bed and very cosy room. Very clean. The owners were very helpful with ideas on what to do and where to go. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic!!
The bathroom and shower were a bit small.
Wonderful welcome, even though we were quite late arriving. The room was excellent, lots of nice touches. Lots of choice for breakfast and time choices. Location fantastic, quiet street. 10 min walk if that into Windermere and 15 into bowness. Would stay again absolutely.
Clean and convenience place to stay. Breakfast was very good.
A nice guest house. Friendly owners & welcoming
Just the hill Back up to the guest house is a little steep
Friendly hosts and a big breakfast.
The small ensuites shower is typical of Man English B&Bs but private (of course) and good pressure. The bed was being upgraded on the day we left (timing is everything. :-)
The owners were very friendly, the breakfast was excellent with much attention to customer service and choice. The rooms gave shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body moisturizer. There was also a hairdryer and iron and a table in the room.
Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Position excellent, walking distance to shops, cafes, eating places etc.
Bed! Too small. Shower too cramped. Couldn't get wifi on my laptop.
The host is friendly and helpful. All the 3 rooms we booked were clean, tidy, nicely decorated, and well equipped with toilet/shower essentials. I also highly recommended the cooked breakfast prepared by the host. Don't Miss the HOMEMADE GRANOLA on the shelf too.
Very friendly staff, had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is nice.
Very friendly hosts, took time to talk to you and nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was on top floor so some stairs to climb. The bed was very comfortable and a lovely super king size just need to remember to dip your head as the ceiling sloped but a very nice room.Very good breakfast with good choice of menus.
Disappointed with size of bathroom and the shower wasn't very strong but was only there for two days.
The hosts were the friendliest and most helpful on our whole travels. The breakfast was excellent. Keep up the good work.
The air movement from the street could have better.
Very clean Friendly hosts Good breakfast Central to Lakes District
To room and bathroom facilities were a little cramped
The owners were fantastically helpful and friendly and you won't find a better breakfast anywhere! The location was good, within a 10-15 minute walk to everything you could possibly need.
There's nothing I would change.
Quiet, central location. 10 min walk to Bowness and Windermere. Good breakfast choices, cooked to perfection. Warm, friendly hosts. Cleanliness and comfort. Parking nearby.
Low ceiling on one side of our room on top floor.
Very welcoming and friendly, had the last room in the house which was bijou but well equipped, well decorated and modern. Our private bathroom was the only one not en suite but it was very big and robes were provided. Every detail was thought of and time was taken to ensure we had everything we needed. You won't be disappointed - great choice for breakfast - delicious!
breakfast is very good, and the host is very friendly.
Location , Breakfast, comet
Paul & Sue were fantastic hosts with a wealth of local knowledge. The breakfast s were brilliant and made to order so always fresh. Very clean and comfortable rooms with ample facilities.
The B&B was centrally located between Windermere and Bowness both in a short walking distance of 10mins. Parking was easy accessible even though there was no dedicated parking available. We stayed in the Buttermere room situated on the ground floor and even though we were never first to rise it was quiet. Overall Paul and Sue made our stay very welcoming and stress free without having too make much effort due to having all the facilities, information ready available giving it a homely feel. And the reviews are correct the breakfast was amazing with freshly sourced ingredients and good selection cooked to order
The (free) WIFI could do with upgrading due to poor siginal. All this could just be down to being out in the sticks, between those lovely rolling hills and mere's (who needs WIFI).
The excellent breakfast, the wonderfully welcoming owners, the location in respect to both Windermere and Bowness, the lovely and comfortable room with the delightful view.
The room was very nice plenty tea coffee each day . Breakfast was fab as well
Don't think there was anything we could put as a bad thing
Hosts were really welcoming. They always recommend great places to go or things to do and have lots of knowledge about the local area.
Sue and Paul were so amazing, the breakfast was awesome. They gave excellent advice on what to do with your time here.
It was hot during our stay, a bigger fan would be a good idea to cool the rooms
