This lovely 19th century terraced house has 4 comfortable and well-appointed rooms. Situated in a quiet residential area close to Baddeley Clocktower, the midway point between Windermere and Bowness, Montfort Cottage is a great base from which to explore the stunning scenery and natural beauty of the region. The cottage is just a 10-minute walk from both Windermere and Bowness, and all of their shops, restaurants and traditional pubs.
Personally run by its owner, Leigh Giles, the guest house has gained an enviable reputation locally for its friendliness and excellent service, which has helped to build a regular clientele. A hearty breakfast is included in the room rate and free unlimited Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout.
Guests of Montfort Cottage are also entitled to complimentary use of the leisure facilities at Parklands Country Club in Bowness, so don't forget to bring your swimming costume and a towel!
The breakfast room also doubles as a day room and is available throughout the day if you wish to use your laptop, read or just sit and relax.
For stays of two nights or more a bowl of fresh fruit, bathrobes and bath sheets are provided free of charge. Stay for three nights or more and a bottle of red or white wine is also included in the price.
Montfort Cottage caters exclusively for adults and is unable to accommodate those younger than 18 years.
There are 4 tastefully decorated, contemporary style bedrooms, each providing accommodation for up to 2 people in a double bed. All of the rooms have en-suite facilities except one, which has sole use of a separate private bathroom. For that special occasion, honeymoon or romantic weekend, there are 2 rooms with 4 poster double beds.
Each room is comfortable and well equipped, with all the modern facilities you need in a relaxing base including a hospitality tray with hot drinks and biscuits; a 22-inch LCD flat-screen TV with DVD player; a professional 1800-watt hairdryer with diffuser; wine glasses and a corkscrew.
Montfort Cottage uses a professional laundry service, ensuring high quality, crisp white Egyptian cotton bed linen and soft, white fluffy towels.
