the location - in centre of Bowness on Windermere and close to lake, boat trips, restaurants, shops etc.
needs complete refurbishment & redecoration; room clean but otherwise not great; breakfasts poor; there are plenty of B&Bs - choose another one, not this one
Ideal position , clean. , food nice ,
The room we had was last vacancy and we had to walk a corridor to private bathroom , was very inconvenient , and had to keep going for water and rinse cups out in bathroom , through night was the worst
everything was great
on our departure there was no one about to give our key to or to say thankyou
Location was good and breakfast
Location was excellent, 2 minute walk to the lake. Room was clean and breakfast was good.
Being located next to a pub, music, shouting and glass bottles being binned in the early hours of the morning kept me awake. Would benefit from double glazed windows.
the location is very centralized and close to all -no car needed to get around; great breakfast, host are wonderful and our room was spacious, clean and the beds were awesome.
The breakfast was nice
There was no staff around when we arrived to greet us or show us round. Didn't like being in front room with all the noise
Front of house location with a lovely view. Breakfast was lovely.
loved it all
Location excellent , lovely staff, very comfy beds and great breakfast
Comfy bed, clean, breakfast, magazines, relaxed approach, decor, TV.
Wasn't expecting reception to be closed when checking in, but it was fine.
great location, 2 mins walk to boat marina. clean comfortable room. lovely breakfast in the cafe downstairs pleasant staff loads to see and do around the town boat trips to ambleside and wray castle reccommended
first come first serve parking, other wise £15 for three days parking around the corner.
Great location as close to shops and pubs. The room was lovely, clean and spacious and the breakfast was delicious.
The B&B is right on the main road,so wouldn't advise if you have trouble sleeping although it didn't really bother us. A minor quibble but the kettle wouldn't reach to the plug so we had to boil the kettle on the floor; maybe they could move the table so it's next to the socket.
It was relaxed, clean and friendly. Enjoyed eating breakfast in the cafe.
No hair dryer and biscuits with tea making facilities. Minor points but walked round with wet hair. A little noisy but that's the position of the guest house.
Location near the souq. Lovely breakfast.
Noisy location. Wifi is very weak
Room was very poky 6
Room Clean Breakfast excellent Staff excellent Location superb for Bowness
No parking , small space at rear but not big enough. Didn't really spoil anything as location excellent
Breakfast was not till 9am
Free wifi Location Breakfast Having ensuite shower Clean bedding
Lack of personal service, no manager on site and staff not always able to help. Room was not cleaned whilst we were there and we stayed 4 nights.Toilet roll was not replenished and towels not replaced with clean ones. The shower would not regulate easily so had to have a sink bath once. Bed was not very comfortable and windows are single glazed so a lot of street noise at bedtime.
Room was superb. Location was central. Owner was immensely helpful. I arrived late in the day. He helped with parking, supplied iron and ironing board I asked for, and recommended a nearby pub in the same road, The Angel Inn, for food, which was excellent. Breakfast included was in Monties Cafe on the ground floor of the building. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast.
Parking is on first-come basis but a car park is very close.
Lovely clean room (No 7) and very close to all amenities.
Location meant we over looked a very busy main road, no double glazing - not ideal if you like to sleep. Parking limited on a very narrow shared lane, experienced drivers only !!
No private car park. Breakfast is too late.
location, decor, food, staff wasn`t really anything not to like
Wi-fi was non existent in the bedrooms
the location. Breakfast was basic but was rushed and was in a cafe setting
the fact there was no communalarea to sit in and no chairs in the room so you could only sit on the bed .Although the bed was supposed to be a double it was very small . the tv was on the top of the wardrobe which made it hard to view and hear. The room decoration was a a little tired .the windows were hard to open and the noise from the pub which backs on to property was load and lasted until around midnight. the car park spaces are not suitable and parking in nearby car parks is expensive. I would not stay at this b and b again .
