Very quiet location. Excellent staff, good service and always with a smile. Although room very quiet and couldn't hear anything from next door, the constant people traffic in the corridor during the night was disturbing.

Very good breakfast ,big comfy bed , quiet at night which was helpful. Pool was beautiful and had sauna, steam room and jacuzzi which were all very good. Big wedding party on and our route to the bedrooms was through the receiving line which was awkward.

Warm welcome and immediate response to a small issue with our room. A classic style hotel, very comfortable. The restaurant staff in particular were outstanding; obliging in everything and extrememly friendly.

Reception staff were genuinely pleasant and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped and the beds luxurious. ( I was overjoyed to discover a cafetiere and ground coffee provided on the tray in the room!) I had a bath in the ensuite bathroom and the hot water was plentiful. My room didn't have a view - it looked out at a lot of heating pipes, brickwork and a kitchen roof. The room was terribly hot and this did make my night rather restless. My daughter's room was a more pleasant temperature, so I think I was just unlucky.

Comfortable room otherwise nothing special. Room too close to the car park (poor position for a "Superior" room). Frequently disturbed by noisy visitors/guests arriving/leaving. I would have thought that a hotel purporting to be "luxurious" could afford double glazing to cut down the noise nuisance. The restaurant is a disaster - slow service and very poor food.

Fabulous find of a hotel - very comfortable, superb value and super staff without exception ... nothing is too much trouble, which makes such a pleasant change these days! Sadly, our travel plans meant we had to leave too early in the morning to sample breakfast. Very interesting building, of which we were offered an impromptu tour. First hotel in a while that has exceeded our expectations. Will definitely revisit.

As I was visiting Tamworth it was the best of it's class within a good distance. Room was comfortable and warm if a little "tired" and a bit small. WIFI access was welcome as not always available. I was staying at the weekend and it was popular for dining with locals which is a good sign but not easy for a solo visitor! Food was good although I would have preferred some better selections of salads and healthier options - struggled to find something light but enoyable. I have to admit to being really annoyed at being charged for leaving late. I didn't arrive untl after 6pm on the Frid and left at just before 5pm on Mon. I understand late check outs are at the discretion but when the room isn't booked out for anyone and the room was hardly used for the first day I think some lenience should come in. It will play on my mind for the next booking.

from arriving at Moor Hall until we left the Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The food was wonderful, and the service in the restaurant first class, waiters always on hand if you needed something, but we were not rushed and there was no pressure to leave. Overall our stay was very relaxing, and enjoyable. We would definitely visit Moor Hall again. There was nothing to find fault with at all.

Myself and my husband had the most wonderful time. We made use of all the facilities, swimming, spa, steam room and we even had a jacuzzi in out room! The cleanliness of the pool was amazing. The food was tremendous and restaurant staff very proffessional but had fun with them at the same time. The bed was the most comfortable ever! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and give it 10/10. We will definately be back!

Warm, comfortable and calm atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room and bathroom. Bathroom equipped with eco friendly toiletries (in case one had forgotten to pack ones own) Proper coffee available in room - not just instant coffee.

The staff, the room, the diff bar rooms were all excellent, breakfast for vegans was excellant also with the Chef and waiting staff in the morning could not have been more helpful, thank you. At the Christmas meal I chose the lentil bake for vegans...was this a Pi** take, a bowl of mushy lentils with a strip pf courgette and tomatoe...disgraceful! Vegans are like everyone else except we disllkie the cruelty of meat so in future can you knindly offer you veggie/ vegan guests a nut raost or a soya/ tofu turkey alternative (Holland n Barrett and all supermarket sell these faux roats) with roast pots cooked in veg oil and veg, just like everyone else. Credit where it is due the pudding was very very nice So No I disliked the christmas meal food!

Loved the atmosphere and relaxing by the fire with family in the bar. Enjoyed the carvery, the food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful and even lit the candles on my sisters birthday cake and brought it out after our meal. The rooms were comfortable and relaxing and ours had a ggod view. It's a god meeting place for family from Cheltenham and Liverpool and Derby. Have used the spa facilitiies in the past and found them very good also. The grounds are relaxing and it feels like you are away from busy places as the grounds are well kept.

We've stayed at Moor Hall a few times as a little treat to ourselves. We absolutely love The Oak Room the intimacy of it and the lovely food. The whole ambience of the hotel draws us back every time and possibly the fact that Henry the Eighth stayed there aswell.....!
