pleasant staff miles from town, which I didn't realize when I booked. I requested a double room and we had this odd room with one double bed and two twin beds, obviously a family room. The hotel appeared over priced for the accomodations which were modest. |

This hotel is in an excellant location for the motorist, situated adjacent to Neptune's staircase and close to Ben Nevis, it is only a 10 minute drive from Fort William and has an extensive car park. The staff were friendly and welcoming and remained civil and helpful even at times of peak activity. The restaurant fare was of a very high standard and the hotel's extensive list of available malt whiskys proved to be an education! For a hotel of this standard the shower facility for our room was disappointing and I did not enjoy standing in the bath trying to avoid a wet shower curtain while struggling to balance a fickle thermostat. |

Very friendly helpful staff nothing was too much trouble. A very warm cosey atmosphere. Meals/snacks available all day in bar area I.E. noon to 21.30. Dinner in restaurant 1900 - 21.30. The only problem we had was with the beds - very "tired" hard mattresses. They were changed for us but not much better. This could be a personal thing as used to Tempur soft mattresses. Shower in bath awkward. |

The staff were very friendly & helpful. Food was excellent. The disabled access room was a little on the small side, although the bathroom was of a good size, but it took an age to get any hot water.Good location. A little disappointed in the size of the disabled access room in proportion to other rooms in the hotel. However, we would stay at The Moorings again. |

close to the canal and had excellent view of same. Dinner menu looked good and disappointed that we didnt eat at the hotel The foyer could be more welcoming as it does not reflect the high standard of decor throughout the rest of the hotel |

Good location, friendly staff, plenty of parking available If the place was busy, dining (or even sitting down) in the bar was difficult. |

Location great and close to the main town. Nice view from room of the mountains. Internet not working while there. Breakfast choice poor for a 4 star hotel and not much local produce. No pool or other facilities. |
