The Moorings Hotel ticked all the correct boxes for my husband and I. Friendly staff, clean comfortable room with en-suite (shower could have more strength - but a small point) the food in the lounge was brilliant and the other guests - and local people made our stay extra enjoyable. We came to see Neptune's staircase and toured other parts of the highlands. Lovely hotel lovely spot - even the rain could not spoil our stay.

The service was excellent nothing was too much trouble. Great gym facilities. The food was amazing, creative thought had gone into each dish with the result of interesting combinations of tastes and textures that all worked together.- a true gourmet experience . Definitely revisit . Interesting location on the canal away from the hectic centre but handy for town centre. . If I really have to think of something it is the usual problem of television noise from next door rooms

Staff were very professional and friendly and the hotel was clean, rooms comfortable with many features usually lacking in a 3 star hotel.Woud definitely recommend to friends and would be likely to return if going walking in the Nevis region again Only observation is some of the decor needs modernising - felt a little '1970s' in the dining room

We had a quiet room overlooking the garden and canal locks. Ate in the bar - lovely fresh fish, good value. Breakfast was freshly cooked, a change to the usual hotel buffets. We would be happy to stay again
