The gentleman on recpetion was very helpful and provided lots of advice on the locality of things from my room as i was going the long way round. Very friendly staff overall in both recpetion and the bar. the breakfast staff were standing around and seemed to stare at you whilst you were trying to enjoy a good breakfast.

The welcoming reception. The total cleanliness and appearance of the entire facility. Bar staff friendly and a nice atmosphere in the bar/lounge areas. Room very clean and well presented. Meals and dining room were excellent. The gardens were very neat and tiddy and well manicured. Overall, we were made most welcome and all of this walong with the cleanliness of the facility just made our short stay perfect. One added bonuss although unscheduled, was the appearence of many sheep on the main lawn. Should not have happened but it was funny and a delight to see so many blighters enjoying their new found pastures. Unlucky to have to endure a rawdy wedding party outside at 02.35 on the Sunday morning but that is no fault of the hotel.

the room was just perfect and i'd love to stay in that room again. fantastic breakfast, with excellent service from the staff. every need was catered for. just brilliant. the shower screen could have been bit better, after my shower i had to mop the floor due to the screen not being across the bath enough. the cold hallways to room 126 were off-putting.

New bathroom makeover with large showers (I am 6ft 2). Good beds. New basins shape which allowed water to splash over edge onto floor when taps on. Poor light for reading in room, had to bring own reading light!, No hot chocolate in room. I don't drink coffee, and tire of tea. Plenty of hangers.

Very good friendly staff, good selection of food.Location good The room (apart from the bathroom) was very dated with poor lighting and small the TV was tiny and didn't work properly. The room was also directly above the reception and there was a continual bang-bang of doors closing. If we had been staying for more than one night i would have asked to be moved.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I was stuck in aserious traffic jam and did not get to the hotel till 2.30am however the staff ensured I was still made welcome despite the lateness of my arrival and even offered me refreshments.

A very comfortable room, particularly as I was upgraded to a mini suite, with friendly, helpful staff. Free car parking and wi fi made the price very reasonable and provided the biggest incentive to return. Meals in the bar are reasonably priced, sensibly sized and cooked to a high standard. I was disappointed to be overcharged when I went to pay the bill. I appreciate that mistakes happen but they rarely seem to happen in my favour. Fortunately I noticed before I drove away but it did leave a sour taste.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, they provided me with gluten free bread at breakfast no problem and it was a dog friendly hotel which is very important to us. We had a lovely room with lovely views of the grounds and plenty of room for the dogs.
