Moorpark House Hotel

Moorpark House is a grand and welcoming country-house hotel in secluded grounds a 30-minute drive from Glasgow. It was built in 1860 and underwent a multi-million pound refurbishment.

The renovated hotel has beautiful grounds and attractive interiors. Some special features include a hand-painted ceiling in the drawing room; a stairway with stained-glass windows; an imposing entrance hall; and a dining room with conservatory.

All the luxurious rooms overlook the croquet lawn and have free internet access, satellite TV, a DVD player and a CD player. Each room is individually designed.

Burn's Cottage - Birth place of Scotland's national poet Robert Burns. Nearby is a centre which is dedicated to his works.

Blairquhan Castle - A lived-in castle home to Mr Hunter-Blair. Arrangements can be made for small groups to go for morning coffee and view the castle and the wonderful gardens and grounds.

Culzean Castle - A magnificent castle built high on the cliffs beside the sea. The grounds are breathtaking even in winter.

Leave the M8 at junction 28A (signposted Irvine A737), then merge onto the A737 entering Paisley (A737). At Roadhead roundabout take the 3rd exit
onto the A760 (signposted Largs). Continue through Lochwinnock entering Kilbirnie onto Stoneyholm Road. At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Bridge Street - A760 (signposted Largs) . At mini-roundabout turn left A760. Turn right onto School Road. Arrive at KA25 7LD,Kilbirnie, Moorpark House Hotel.

From Glasgow Central Railway Station
Trains run from Glasgow Central to Glengarnock Railway Station on the Ayr, Largs and ardrossan Harbour Lines. The Railway station is approx. 2 miles from the hotel. please contact the hotel shoudl you require taxi transfer, we are happy to arrange this.

From Glasgow Airport
Follow signs Way Out. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto White Cart Road (signposted Motorway M8). Continue forward onto White Cart Road. Entering Paisley. At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Sanderling Road (signposted Greenock, M8). At roundabout take the 1st exit (signposted Greenock, Linwood). At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A737 (signposted Irvine). At Roadhead roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A760 (signposted Largs). Continue forward onto Stoneyholm Road - A760.
