The busy road The leisure centre at the back of the B&B decided to leaf blow their car park at 6am!
Staff friendly and very helpful with details of local restaurants.
Noise from the road
very nice place, clean tidy and excellent hosts
Height of four poster bed
Very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent and plenty of choices. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful
We had a standard double room and the shower cubicle could have been a bit larger. Also the parking area was a very restricted when the hotel is fully booked.
We were greeted with friendliness and shown our room which was all that we could expect and more. Excellent attention to detail with superb breakfast each morning. Nothing was too much trouble!
The breakfast was excellent, you felt like you were eating proper bacon and sausages not process rubbish and a good choice of menu especially if you are vegetarian. Everything was fresh. Room was very comfortable and clean, you couldn't fault a thing about the rooms, a credit to the two lovely ladies who cleaned the rooms. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman and he was very helpful and informative. Plenty of eating places around the area, if you like Italian we would definitely recommend Amarone, lovely atmosphere, food and service. Felt like we were back in Venice. Good base to explore the New Forest and surrounding areas. It is on the main road, however quiet during the evening with no noise through the night, so didn't effect sleep especially as I am a light sleeper. You won't be disappointed.
friendly owners ,top class accomodation very clean and handy location for forest and nearby ringwood. lovely breakfast all in all top value for money will stay again
nothing ..anybody who finds fault with this little gem will never be pleased with anything
Excellent breakfast - many choices and genteel service. A lot of attention to detail and clean and comfortable room
Our room fronted onto the road which as a very light sleeper disturbed my sleep a little - probably wouldn't bother most people.
Cleanliness Nice breakfast Very friendly hosts
Comfortable, very good breakfast choice. and it was well cooked too!
Bit rigid about timings, re late arrival, and also about availability of an early cooked breakfast , for anyone who needed an early start.
Excellent breakfast choice and buffet selection to start with. Clean room and excellent bathroom with all accessories provided. Close to town centre, within walking distance.
Bed a little uncomfortable when you or your partner turned over, this was in room 4.
on main road so little noisy
clean spacious rooms, well equiped, excellent breakfast cooked to order, car parking.
Location to the New Forest is great.
The place needs a refreshing to improve appearance.
Cooked breakfast Very clean Room cleaned and bed changed everyday
DVD player wasn't working Wasn't really baby friendly, just a cot put in the room
Handy place to drive around local area if not wish to drive in the eveing not far to walk and taxis are reasonable rates also moortown lodge is like home from home. fab place
The room although compact was well equipped and comfortable. The owner helped us with evening meal recommendations and breakfast was very varied and tasty.
Nothing much - it was quite warm upstairs but there was a fan provided. Don't normally get the problem of being too warm in this country!
Very clean with helpful and friendly staff.
Very noisy. Situated on a main road and being hot it was a choice between either feeling suffocated, or putting up with the noise. Vehicles were passing until very late, and then from about 5.30am onwards there was a constant stream. Not the place for a quiet holiday.
Would highly recommend this b & b. The staff were helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Clean and comfortable rooms and the food was outstanding.
Quiet, clean, excellent food and helpful staff
No dislikes, will stay there again
We really enjoyed the warm hospitality from our hosts, and the comfortable rooms and amenities.
The accommodation was comfortable, quite central to the town centre, breakfast was ok, would suggest a large sausage/s and one fried egg instead of two very small chipolota's that were dry. Also although the robes were a nice touch, we didn't use them bath sheets would have been much more appreciated, I can't remember the last time we used a bath towel...you cant wrap them round yourself....
very friendly, homely, quality excellent service. Breakfast was superb - great value for money. went the extra mile with giving out useful local information for places to dine.
