A pleasant hotel with good but not gastronomic food. A spacious room with twin beds and two armchairs. A good one night stop.

I had booked a double not a twin room. The one small window meant the room was dark. The bathroom was dated and clumsily converted for the disabled which we are not. Poor soundproofing from the floor above.

THE ROOM WAS LOVELY . THE STAFF WERE VERY EFFICENT AND PROFESSIONAL . THE EVENING MEAL WAS EXCELLENT AND BREAKFAST ALSO . GIVING YOU A GOOD START FOR THE DAY

the sad piano sat in the corner desperately needing some serious T.L.C.

    Food, bed, bar

WiFi didn't work as advertised, either in the room or any public places. If you advertise free wifi please ensure that it works. TV in the room far too small and too low down. Could not view it for a lying position on bed

we had a very spacious twin room and a nice bathroom; the staff were very friendly; good breakfast (except for the instant coffee)

quite remote without much to do around; the hotel was hard to find because all the signs were hidden by bushes and trees

Lovely historic establishment full of old world charm and wonderful personalised service. Very comfortable and excellent location to the Glenmorangie Distillary and Dunrobin House. Loved the cooked english breakfast which was generous and there was plenty of choice. We had dinner at the hotel both nights and the chef there is truely outstanding! It was the best restaurant meal we have had in a very long time and we only wish that more chefs could produce such wonderful meals.

Nothing that we could fault. Only wished we could have stayed longer.

    - lovely and quiet room with beautiful furniture - really good beds - excellent breakfast! (best Haggis ever!) - Tain is a nice town - spacious free car park - excellent restaurant

    - during the evening we "enjoyed" strong smell from the kitchen - the housekeeping didn't do a good job, twice we had cups that were not clean (lipstick marks, other dirt)
