Everything. Stayed more than once at this hotel and will stay again.
Couldn't fault at all.
Very expensive for what we got, in the morning we complained that we didn't sleep all night as the bed was so soft and we just sunk down to the bottom and also into the middle, there were two matresses on top of one another. We paid £130 for one night bed and breakfast. the receptionist phoned the manager to say we had a problem but even although she wasn't far away from the hotel she didn't come to see us and told the receptionist to charge us full rate. Instead of going on further that day we had to go home as we were so tired.
Convenient, location, friendly staff , lovely room, good breakfast, and perfect evening meal !
Staff went out of their way to arrange taxis and locate a specific wine. They willingly accommodated our luggage after check out.
The room was extremely comfortable
We were so cold in our room we barely got any sleep and the shower had such a poor pressure we felt it wasn't worth using it. Room had not been updated since what looked like the 70s. Scrambled eggs were like rubber at breakfast.
Loads of history attached to this quaint and charming hotel. The rooms were nice and big and well equipped. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had an excellent two nights and would return in a flash. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice.
The hotel is a little tired, and needs a bit of TLC.
Good Hotel and good food.
The shower did not give hot water on 1st January morning when we were leaving, the other taps had hot water. We had 1 ceiling bulb not working.
good staff all helpful good food clean rooms what more do you need?
Everything especially the helpful staff.
Everything was very good
Friendly atmosphere and a can do attitude, along with a varied menu. Despite there being a large Xmas party that evening, staff went out of their way to accommodate me for an evening meal. WiFi in my room (18) good.
As this was a business trip, I didn't have any time to spend enjoying the local area.
Spacious room with plenty of storage. Very comfortable with some nice touches. Friendly staff, nice surroundings and a great place to begin day trips and fabulously homely to return to at the end of the day. Dining was thoroughly enjoyable. No formica or formulaic sameness to be seen. Knocks the spots of the Travelodge style of accommodation.
This hotel deserved to have a better signage at the road side. It would be nice if the garden and pond could be developed a bit.
the room. the bed, the food, all the staff, the location,
still trying to think of something!!
Wonderful old world style, fantastic food, great staff and a comfortable, spacious room.
Conveniently sited comfortable older style hotel. The staff are absolutely lovely and the food good. I needed accommodation that would allow our dog so that was fabulous too. we had a very restful night and it was excellent value too.
The residents lounge is not especially nice but we didn't need to use it so it didn't really matter. The bathroom was a bit dated but very clean and so I wasn't really bothered. The shower was good with lots of hot water.
Lovely big room with plenty really hot water. Food was excellent with very good sized helpings
Bathroom was a bit cramped. Ok for one at a time but not enough Rommel for two in there at the same time.
Staff were great. Changed our room to a larger room on arrival as we had our dog with us. Great room. Ground floor near a exit. Clean, comfy and cosy room. Real glasses in bathroom, complimentary bottled water. Evening meal was excellent.
friendly staff & very attentive
rooms are just a wee bit dated but very comfortable
The room was huge! Great quality of food in the restaurant, and one of the biggest meal portions we have had!
It was wonderful that they gave us dig blankets for our dogs - even though they had their own beds with them. Everyone was wonderfly friendly and wonderfully helpful too!
food pleasant staff
bed was could have more comfortable
the size of the hotelroom parking facilities friendly staff
very old building, old carpets not worth the money
The staff were very friendly and gave excellent, unobtrusive service. The manageress was extremely helpful and found out for us when the Pictish museum at Portmahomack opened (9 miles away) - this museum is an absolute must for anyone interested in the Picts and their important historical sites.
The clinging shower curtains - were clean but could be replaced by a glass panel on the bath. Tiling needs replacing on bathroom floor and the toilet seat was not the correct one and needs to be replaced (room 28).
Food was excellent, great breakfasts,
The road signage approaching from the north was broken or obscured, needs to be fixed, Porterage could be included, steep stairs with a heavy bag.
food excellant service excellant vokca bloody mary on offer on breakfast didnt have but has all
didnt book for another night and to be honest there was none fab place
