Everything plus they made us a meal which was on the old menu with no fuss at all.will definately recommend to my friends and family
The executive suite not only met expectation but far exceeded them. The four poster bed was beautiful. The sleep was magnificent, the facilities were superb, the location was breathtaking. As far as hotels goes this was by far the best we've stayed. The hotel listened to what I had requested and made the stay so special.
Nothing....couldn't fault it
Homely feel, beautiful open fire, excellent food
Location & parking
Breakfast in room without a suitable table due to a conference booking of which I was unaware. Nice thought though.
A beautiful old building with a quirky feel to it. Great ornaments and pictures all over that match the age of the building.Had an evening meal which was as good as we have had anywhere Enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here on a belated honeymoon and without doubt we'd love to return. Jane and David (and Maxwell!) were extremely welcoming. Our room was fab, Moresby Hall itself is beautiful and we loved every minute of our too short stay.
Top breakfast friendly staff and hotel spotless
A little bit far from the town
Good location. Quality character property with cozy beds and excellent breakfast
Our children treated us to a stay at this hotel and the rooms, service, food and location were superb.
Welcoming, great history, the Hall dating back to 16th century, comfortable room, with a nice sitting room down stairs. good dinner and breakfast.
Felt a little cool when we entered, no heating to turn on as central heating, light in bathroom went out, told they are refurbishing rooms later this year.
The room was spaceous and well presented. Breakfast was excellent.
Hot water was only luke warm for early evening shower. But was much hotter in the morning. A very minor detail in a building of its age.
There's nothing to dislike - immediately feels like home from home as soon as you walk in. The food incredible and everyone we met was welcoming and friendly.
Spacious, comfortable cottage.
Could do with a bit of an update. A bit overpriced.
We stayed at Moresby Hall as we were in the area for my parents Golden Wedding anniversary. The building was stunning and the rooms are on par with the best London has to offer. The owners David and Jane are the perfect hosts and nothing is to much trouble for them. Will most definately stay here again.
Fabulous old building, full of character but supported by state of the art brand new facilities (e.g. the bathroom shower) Large plasma TV, perfect mobile phone signal (not always the case in large stone building in the sticks!) Very attentive and friendly staff, great breakfast. Quiet and peaceful surroundings.
Nothing to report, it was all good.
Stunning building Comfortable room Excellent bathroom Polite and helpful staff Nice breakfast Lovely owners Brilliant amenities
The staff were so helpful and such nice people... Also the breakfast was amazing! Beautiful building, definitely recommend this place...
Warm comfortable stay, pleasant people, like going back in time.. In a good way. Would recomend to friends and family. Would go again!
The breakfast was very tasty just wasn't enough for us.. But only a very small downside!
Everything. The staff and the owners where all very friendly. Food was excellent. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean and spacious..
Rooms, music, breakfast decor
Very friendly owners who did their best to welcome us even when our train was cancelled and we arrived very late to Whitehaven. Nice and filling breakfast. We appreciated home made jams and the fruit salad. On Sunday on our leaving the receptionist came to us with a doggy bag filled with delicious fresh pastry. Thank you, Eugen!
There were no ghosts in the house!
Very tired poor location
Everything about the place was special and everyone was very friendly and belpful which you remember.
Nothing that needs mentioning
Lovely building, nice big comfy four poster bed, nice shower, friendly owners
Only one suggestion - advise people to use the designated parking lot beside the building. Cars parked in front killed the charm a little bit and the building is wonderful to look at!
The owners and staff were very helpful and even bought me some gluten free biscuits
