We were on honeymoon and received a complimentary upgrade-much appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was lovely-heated mirror a nice touch! The four poster bed looked very impressive.
Within easy access to LC2 and museums. Comfy bed.
Stayed in townhouse. Room not acoustically soundproofed from noises both outside and inside of building. Could hear people discussion from room above and as people entered town house. Carpark v small, blocked in from 5pm.
The location, beautifully comfortable bad.
Apathetic team, residents car park full, chairs and tables piled up outside our room, mould in shower, chairs and tables outside but drinks not allowed outside, general tiredness of building. Tried to get a sandwich & some fries at 9pm, informed this was not possible
So close to town.
We were in the Flying Cloud room and there was an internmittent clunk from somewhere throughout the night. It meant a disturbed night's sleep - the last thing we needed. No decent beer
Rooms Breakfast excellent
We arrived in the morning and although check in was much later a room was ready for us within an hour. The room was large and comfortable. The common areas are well designed and comfortable.
Breakfast should be included in the rate. Shower area had some mildew.
It was a central location in an old restored building with great character.
No wifi in the room we rented.
Main hotel was lovely. Dining room was very ornate. Cooked breakfast was good and the serving staff were very efficient and friendly but we had to make our own toast!
The town house was situated on the other side of the road - didn't realise this when booking, thought we would be somewhere attached to the main building (looked like a converted office block). There was a wedding on so couldn't use main bar. Very squeaky laminate flooring in our room and in the room above, grubby carpets on landing. A bit disappointing for our anniversary trip.
Premium Double room (in townhouse) was very spacious, wonderfully comfortable bed, excellent quality linen; bathroom spacious and very well equipped; lots of soft towells, robes; bath and large shower with complimentary Molton Brown body wash and shampoo. Excellent Breakfast both cooked and continental. Friendly and comfortable bar and efficient staff.
1. Evening dinner on Sunday night was disappointing (particularly as breakfasts were excellent). We ordered roast lamb - the meat was tasty however the roast potato looked unappetising, overcooked and was soggy and the vegetables (only two - carrots and broccoli) were both very overcooked and soft. 2.The water temperature in the shower fluctuated between the set temperature to hot to cool.
Great building, décor, location
The location is ideal, the rooms are snug and personalized, staff are very friendly and efficient, breakfast was top class offering all sorts such as eggs benedict and salmon & scrambled egg, very handy having free parking in front of the hotel, Townhouse extremely safe as the security is comforting. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!
If you stay in the Townhouse, you will hear the floor boards above you.
so near nightlife and lovely spacious room especially the bathroom free parking
bit pricey and small breakfast
The food, the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the room
Room was on ground floor and quite dark due to the high building alongside
Townhouse lovely and quiet. Bathroom excellent, plenty towels.Reception staff helpful on arrival.
Lack of attention to small details - welcome tray had 2 cups but only 1 saucer and 1 spoon. No ordinary coffee, only decaff. No hot water for shower Sunday morning and when told reception we got a smile and told that was to wake us up! Restaurant staff had to be asked for extra butter , asked to clear plates, no enquiry as to whether we would like more coffee/tea.
Staff were friendly. Location is good. Close to the shops, museum and marina.
Furnishings in the bar were tired. Carpet in the townhouse needed a good clean. Wooden floor above bedroom creaked. Bedroom was small. Didn't have a proper wardrobe.TV Reception was very poor.Service at breakfast could have been better.
comfort, food, pleasant helpful staff, easy parking in inner city, history & situation of building; reasonable prices, notably good value.Imaginative room names from local history, an attractive an unique feature
minor inconvenience accessing the town house across the street
Nicely renovated historic property. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Great bathroom. Good breakfast options.
Standard double a bit tight for two people.
Location, parking, spacious room, friendly efficient staff & dining. This is an excellent hotel.
Room facilities, breakfast
We were kept awake until 4.30 am by noisy revellers passing by beneath our window.
Room fabulous. Building superbly restored. Excellent value for money and the Welsh breakfast was good
Loved the bathroom and comfortable bed
Our room was near the outside decking area and it was noisy as it was Saturday night
Room, bar, genreal location
Breakfast wasnt as good as last time
the bathroom was exceptionally well equipped and smart; the staff were efficient and fairly friendly for a large hotel; the minibar was very handy because we could use it for keeping fresh the food bought for our very long train journey the next day!
although the breakfast was relatively inexpensive for a large hotel menu and its menu very varied – including the local speciality laverbread (made from seaweed and very good with anything that needs a salty accompaniment), the helpings were really small… nouveau cuisine at breakfast!
Location Our room The bar Breakfast
being in the town house & not the main building.
It catered and cared for the customer to a high standard in An unusual but comfortable environment. We very much Enjoyed the very interesting tour Given by Jack.
The room we had was in the annexe, though value for money And very well presented we did Findit somewhat restricting in Terms of space and no easy chairs. Some noise through the Partition wall though not too Intrusive. I think we will book a room in the main building on our Next visit to Swansea In
