Score from 439 reviews Very good
This beachfront hotel has dramatic views of Swansea Bay, and is a short walk from the center of town. Highway M4, golf courses and the Gower Peninsula are nearby.

In the heart of Swansea, just half a mile from the train station, this modern hotel is affordable, and features an on-site restaurant and spacious, comfortable and modern rooms with private bathrooms....
Score from 462 reviews Very good
Friendly and helpful staff Excellent bedroom Hot water immediate on tap Very comfortable bed Parking secure and right outside Excellent breakfast
When I contacted Reception at 4am they immediately moved me to a quiet room in the main building
Unable to sleep at all due to noise level during.
Close to everything. Staff very friendly and helpful Big room & well furnished
Hotel was lovely it was also a bonus having a free parking space. We ate in the restaurant and the food was really nice. Breakfast was good although the music was a little loud. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Music in the restaurant at breakfast. The bin lorry came early Sunday morning at 7.15. A little early when you might like to have a lie in.
Lovely and helpful staff. Comfortable and clean room. Amazing bathroom. Very close to the beach.
Wi- Fi very slow and breakfast was little disappointing.
Bed comfortable, very clean, bathroom fab, double headed shower....wow. Breakfast nice
Our room was a little bit small, but we had such a good deal on the price, we don't care!!!
Ambience of hotel and history Help of Reception staff Style of furnishing
The smell in bar The transient customers No comfortable seating in room No drawers in room for under clothes etc
good location staff very helpful building sympathetically restored good food and drinks
poor noise insulation in townhouse welcome pack/information file in the room was inadequate and 6 months out of date - thankfully staff at reception were v helpful
The second room we were put in and the toiletries were lovely.
We knew there was a wedding disco until midnight (our room was by reception) . The receptionist said the wedding guests were not staying and we shouldn't hear anything. The floor was sticky and the room was very dimly lit!. At 00:30hrs the noise was unbearable and when I went to reception the door into the bar was open and the man on recpt said that always happens. We moved rooms but it was 01:00hrs by this time so were a bit annoyed that we hadn't been put there in the first place.
Staff, good welcome, able to access room early. Excellent power shower
Wood block flooring might look good but totally unsuitable for a three story hotel. In the town house and major noise from walking on the floor in the room above. Also dirty glasses left on tables in the bar - not 5 star
Friendly staff.amazing room. Great food.lovely clean facilities. Nice atmosphere.
My only criticism was the proximatey to the main drinking and clubbing venues.
Friendly welcome, superb breakfast, lovely building and location, parking secure, bar area very relaxed and chic, bar staff friendly and welcoming
would have prefered to stay in the main building instead of a seperate acquired building 15 metres accross a side road (no mention of this on booking), very slow internet, small cleaning issues around the base of the shower
Excellent position for my work. Excellent parking and allowed to leave car there until after lunch which was very helpful. Good breakfast. Quiet room.
We were on honeymoon and received a complimentary upgrade-much appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was lovely-heated mirror a nice touch! The four poster bed looked very impressive.
Within easy access to LC2 and museums. Comfy bed.
Stayed in townhouse. Room not acoustically soundproofed from noises both outside and inside of building. Could hear people discussion from room above and as people entered town house. Carpark v small, blocked in from 5pm.
The location, beautifully comfortable bad.
Apathetic team, residents car park full, chairs and tables piled up outside our room, mould in shower, chairs and tables outside but drinks not allowed outside, general tiredness of building. Tried to get a sandwich & some fries at 9pm, informed this was not possible
So close to town.
We were in the Flying Cloud room and there was an internmittent clunk from somewhere throughout the night. It meant a disturbed night's sleep - the last thing we needed. No decent beer
Rooms Breakfast excellent
We arrived in the morning and although check in was much later a room was ready for us within an hour. The room was large and comfortable. The common areas are well designed and comfortable.
Breakfast should be included in the rate. Shower area had some mildew.
It was a central location in an old restored building with great character.
No wifi in the room we rented.
Main hotel was lovely. Dining room was very ornate. Cooked breakfast was good and the serving staff were very efficient and friendly but we had to make our own toast!
The town house was situated on the other side of the road - didn't realise this when booking, thought we would be somewhere attached to the main building (looked like a converted office block). There was a wedding on so couldn't use main bar. Very squeaky laminate flooring in our room and in the room above, grubby carpets on landing. A bit disappointing for our anniversary trip.
Premium Double room (in townhouse) was very spacious, wonderfully comfortable bed, excellent quality linen; bathroom spacious and very well equipped; lots of soft towells, robes; bath and large shower with complimentary Molton Brown body wash and shampoo. Excellent Breakfast both cooked and continental. Friendly and comfortable bar and efficient staff.
1. Evening dinner on Sunday night was disappointing (particularly as breakfasts were excellent). We ordered roast lamb - the meat was tasty however the roast potato looked unappetising, overcooked and was soggy and the vegetables (only two - carrots and broccoli) were both very overcooked and soft. 2.The water temperature in the shower fluctuated between the set temperature to hot to cool.
Great building, décor, location
Breakfasts- badly cooked Poor lighting in bathroom Hotel running out of both Earl grey tea & green tea Lack of response to list of complaints from General Manager-STILL WAITING Noisy location -kept awake all night by Swansea "night-life " etc etc etc.......
The location is ideal, the rooms are snug and personalized, staff are very friendly and efficient, breakfast was top class offering all sorts such as eggs benedict and salmon & scrambled egg, very handy having free parking in front of the hotel, Townhouse extremely safe as the security is comforting. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!
If you stay in the Townhouse, you will hear the floor boards above you.
