The room and all of the pub's facilities were comfortable and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The choice and quality of the food was excellent and the same applied to the real ale. Lashings of hot water all the time and new towels on the second day of our stay. We stayed two nights and each morning when we went down to breakfast, we saw that the carpet hadn't been swept of the debris from the night before, particularly noticeable under the tables of the large family parties that included small children.

Located near the main roads into Southampton was convenient for me, and parking is ample. As it is close to Paulton Park there are usually young children in the bar and restaurant. Room decor is nothing special.

I booked and paid for this stay for my niece and her 4 yr old and was impressed by the way the staff communicated with me . Beth and Tia enjoyed their stay, comfortable room with tv which impressed little Tia!! When we dropped off the girls , the only thing I disliked was the rather garish , uncoordinated decor around the dining area , otherwise perfect, especially as so near Peppa Pig World .

Friendly, staff. Location.Very nice breakfast. It was a comfortable hotel. The Hotel did not appear very clean.Needed hoovering. At breakfast,it did not appear to have been hoovered from the day before. There were crumbs on my chair)It could do with a lick of paint, esspecially in the hall ways(1st impression's count). It appears alittle tired. I don't think the price of the room reflects the condition.I Would think £60-£70 for a double would be fairer.I Am not one to complain,so hope this helps. It did seem a little understaffed at breakfast. However the staff were very friendly.

Service and staff were excellent.Early evening the restaurant was busy with families calling in after a visit to Peppa Pig Park but quietened down later..Dinner was very good ,with plenty of choice and freshly cooked .A good breakfast menu and unlimited coffee. Our room, number 8,was clean and comfortable. There was a party in the function room beneath us but the disco ended at 11pm ,this may cause a problem for families . The corridors upstairs need a coat of paint and freshening up.

We loved our room with the four poster bed. It was warm and very clean. Staff on arrival did not welcome us in our opinion. Just gave us the key. There was no: hello, welcome to the Mortimer arms, breakfast times, food times or useful information for your stay. I don't even think the guy cracked a smile! However on leaving the female member of staff was far more pleasant.

Convenient location with all the facilities and features needed for an overnight stay, eg bar/restaurant. 3 rooms booked. Rooms were too warm! Minor maintenance issues but didn't cause any significant inconvenience, eg toilet seat loose, shower head mounting (above bath) loose.

Loved how close to Paulton park hotel was after a long day. Rooms were a great size and having a room attached was even better for us. Food was great in restaurant and the fact they made the cake special for my little girl was appreciated. Sofa bed wasn't comfortable to sleep on.

Lovely staff, great food, clean and comfy rooms, whole place cosy and traditional. Really liked it. Lots of parking, very central and close to main roads. Right next to paultons park if you are going there this could not be more ideal. I found the hotel quiet at night and just liked everything

We stayed here, so we was very close to paultons park for peppa pig world for my daughters 2nd birthday. Nice staff helpful and informative Our room was directly above the kitchen and near to function room, meaning no one slept! Party stopped by midnight but then the guests carried on partying till 4am - too noisy for families if there is a function on. Check in advance of your stay.

The staff were very helpful, and the rooms were lovely and convenient. My room No. 5 was very nice but the bathroom was a bit cold, and my daughters room no.11 was the other way around. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Could have had a few more things for the children to do as it is so close to Paulton's Park and there were a lot of children there. It would have been nice to have had a lounge area to sit in.

We really liked the hotel. its 5 min. from peppa pig village, so convinient. The staff are friently and there is a nice warm environment. I deffinatetly recoment it. The food was amazing, especially deserts Our betroom was above the pub and it was quite loud until 11:30-12:00, especially for our 2 years old baby.
