Charming character. Excellent evening meal. Room with an in-bed view of Corfe Castle! Large car park. Peaceful location. Close proximity to the steam railway station for trips to Swanage and surrounds.

    No fresh fruit/salad for breakfast.

Family run business with excellent staff who make a stay in this hotel special. Location is superb for Dorset coast. Excellent parking facility. Meals were excellent.

Gold walls and curtains made our room appear rather drab. Bathroom ventilation was only fair. Whilst menu was very good it didn't change for the five days we were there and was rather pricey.

Morton House is situated in the charming village of Corfe Castle and a stroll from the actual castle. The bathroom window overlooked the beautiful castle and the bedroom window overlooked the charming vintage steam train station. It was like stepping back in time. The hotel was peaceful and the staff were wonderful. I wish all hotels trained their staff to the brilliant standard of staff at Morton House Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all smiling! We had a wonderful relaxing weekend which included a lovely evening meal at the hotel, walk up Corf Castle and steam train ride into Swanage.

The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were welcoming. We had dinner there and the food and service were excellent. The location looking up at Corfe Castle itself was Just fantastic. Highly recommended.

    Nothing I could fault.

Terrace was attractive. Good for pre-dinner drinks, helped by super weather.

Our room (No6) was stuffy as it was on the side of the hotel facing a blank wa\ll, and opening a window didn't help much.

The decor & the gardens were v. Nice.

The sausages were hard at breakfast. We had to wait quite a while for service. No one told us the procedure.

We arrived after last orders for dinner but staff were very accommodating and chef provided full meal to a high standard. This helpfulness continued throughout - they were really excellent. Rooms were spot on.

The hotel is ideally situated in the ancient town.

The shower in the bathroom has no pressure. Bathing was not easy.

    Great location and great restaurant.

We were in a room designed for handicapped which had a wet room shower (no bath), the water from the shower tended to flood across the entire bathroom which was annoying, if you left anything on the floor it got soaked.

The staff were exceptional, from front desk to the waiting staff. We really got looked after. When I booked it I told them it was my wife's birthday and asked where i could get flowers and chocs from and they sorted everything out for me and had it ready in the room on the day of my wife's birthday as a surprise. Absolutely brilliant! Although I'm taking the credit. ;) The hotel was great too. Really traditional but still luxurious. The food was amazing as well. Great steak.

The staff were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. The hotel menu and wine list was excellent. The building and grounds are beautiful

Broken lock and loose towel rail in the bathroom - neither were a real issue. Soft mattress - I prefer a hard mattress but this is a personal preference and it was clearly of a high quality

Superb cuisine, helpful and friendly staff, cleanliness, lovely old world ambience, comfortable bed and room provisions, and perfect location in Corfe Castle.

The loo seat was a bit flimsy, the lid easily coming off - but of minor concern only.
