Very pretty hotel, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, parking great and staff very pleasant
Great location for a wedding Good rooms Very picturesque
Awful breakfast Lager quality not great
A lovely hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant at night time. Really pleasant and helpful bar staff.
nice clean environment friendly staff good food comfy bed clear view television modern surroundings nice powerful shower
The staff were great, very helpful. Lovely location, near to friends we were visiting so perfect for us.
Telephone in room not working
Facilities were just want we wanted and the value for money was perfect. Very well organised, staff very helpful without being in the way.
the four poster bed in a The Darcy Suite
11.00 check out, too early
Great breakfast included with the price of the room.
Good sized bedroom and bathroom facilities. Bed comfortable with ample pillows available (not always readily available in some places we have stayed). All staff we met were friendly Good choice of food for breakfast. Good car parking area Would stay again if we return to area
Not a very welcoming Reception area, on the small side for size of hotel but adequate for what is required.
Location was good and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection for breakfast. Though restaurant menu was limited for the standard the hotel was trying to aim for. Forgot toothbrushes and was supplied two free by hotel.
Cleanliness :- splash marks on bathroom mirror, hairs on toilet, scum around sink taps, unvacuumed carpets in bedroom and corridors. Dirty linen left in corridor over night. Remnants of Christmas decorations in restaurant. Food on floor in restaurant in evening and still there in morning. Cobwebs and dust. Bed was extremely soft (soft mattress on a sprung base) when I mentioned this to receptionist her reply was "All the beds are the same. You can't please everyone" there was no apology from her regarding another guests drinks being charged to our room. Housekeeping staff washing floor leading to restaurant during service hours without yellow signs. People may think this review is petty but for the price of a standard room that was charged and the fact this is supposed to be a Best Western Plus hotel these little things are what are supposed to distinguish the hotel from those of a lower price range and star grading. I have worked the hotel industry for over 20 years and have stayed in 2 star inns that have better standards.
The room very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable
Night porter provide me with another room so at least I got some sleep
woken at 02.30 by loud snoring from next room, went to see night porter who came to check and agreed that the snoring was excessive Sound insulation in walls insufficient in this case, consider adding another layer of sound reducing plasterboard to alleviate problem
the restaurant was good and my husband was in his element as he is a coeliac and had so much choice. The staff were really lovely and helpful and one lady was trying to introduce gluten free food-she has already done an amazing job but was really keen to take on board any more suggestions we had. All in all we would definitely return and look forward to sampling more of the great food.
The accomadation, very pleased how clean the room was.
The staff knew we were getting married the day of our stay so towels were in a heart with rose petals scattered. It's the little things that make you want to go back. Amazing. Thank you
Hotel and room were perfect, we were even given an upgrade on the room booked, the setting is good and quiet
We had to remind to staff that we had ordered a bottle of wine with our evening meal plus also at breakfast we had to chase up our tea and coffee order, mimor things but irritating
Plenty of availability in car park!
To have no AC is outrageous for a supposedly modern hotel. Room red hot and tiny with old grubby bathroom. There for a wedding which was understaffed, red hot, grubby smelly bar and outdoor tables (only 3 when needed about 10) which were so unstable you couldn't put your drinks on them! Expensive drinks, cold cappachinos and UHT milk - more like a tacky Blackpool guest house than a classy hotel chain! Spoke to 'Duty Manager' who just said sorry but didn't sound ad though she meant it and our comments will probably make no difference to any future improvements.
Friendly staff comfortable room all in all a very good place to stay
Location, bar area
Breakfast was a shambles, stood waiting to be seated seen by 3 staff and ignored had to wait for the 4 staff member to see us before we got seated. No cups on table, staff member said they would get them, coffee pot arrived, 5 mins later had to ask staff member who said, oh I forgot. The buffet looked as if a swarm of locusts had visited, very little left, no glasses for the fruit juices, no plates for the toast, very large dishes only for the fruit. To be fair the staff were very slowly replenishing it, although I am sure it did not all go. I ordered a cooked breakfast, scrambled egg, bacon and beans no problem very nice in fact, the sausage was so overlooked it was solid down one side. A staff member was cleaning the table next to ours then walked off leaving his spray and dirty cloth hanging off the back of the chair. Overall the impression was that it was very chaotic and in my opinion lacked any sort of mamangement input. Very disappointing end to what had been an enjoyable stay
Stayed for a wedding. the setting was excellent
The venue was very warm.
Location, exterior aoppearance
Worn rooms and decor. Needs painting and cleaning!
Everything, especially the breakfast!
The location suited our purpose admirably, and the building, Mosborough Old hall, was particularly attractive.
The bathroom lacked grab handles, which necessitated extreme care when using the bath and shower. We experienced some disturbance on one evening, due to the thoughtlessness of some guests who were noisy and inconsiderate.
meal and the room comfort were above average
