The Moss Grove Organic offers 5-star guest accommodation, designed to be both luxurious and environmentally friendly. The spacious en suite rooms have flat-screen TVs, Bose Entertainment systems and free internet access is available throughout the hotel. The Victorian building retains its period charm but has been updated throughout. The renovation work used eco-friendly and natural products from clay paint to sheep’s wool insulation. Many of the large beds are hand-made from reclaimed wood, with duck down bedding and 100% cotton sheets. Fair Trade tea and coffee, and organic biscuits are available in the rooms, whilst under-floor heated bathrooms have spa baths and organic toiletries. Moss Grove serves a Mediterranean-style buffet breakfast using organic, fair trade and local produce. Free on-site parking is available. Located in Grasmere village centre, just over 500 metres from Grasmere Lake, Moss Grove Organic is in the heart of the Lake District. We liked everything about this hotel. My husband was concerned about no full english breakfast,but decided that what was offered made a refeshing change, I loved it all. There was nothing we didn't like.

Room and organic breakfast excellent. Location central for all Grasmere facilities and ease of access to good walking without having to use car. Thought that there could have been a bit more in respect of room arrival hospitality - welcome pack with E.g water, small box of chocolates. - only one pack of 2 biscuits a bit scimpy given the cost of staying and billing as a 5 star venue. Glass screen door on bathroom not the best design wise

The friendliness of the staff, Colin, who could not do enough to help. The room was magnificent, beautifully presented, clean and tidy. The location was central to Grasmere. The breakfast was a great surprise, it was described as a 'Mediterranean', but it was wholesome and beautifully prepared, especially the Cumberland sausage! We liked everything!

Great room and bathroom with the advantage of a hot tub for our room. Lovely help yourself breakfast -stepping away from the traditional 'Cumberland Fry Up'. Touch of luxury was very appreciated. Be good to have real milk in rooms as oppose to plastic jiggers. Couple more biscuits wouldn't have gone a miss either. Otherwise - all good.

Excellant staff, very friendly. Our room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very nice with an interesting choice of food. I would love to revisit the Moss Grove in the future. Parking was inadiquate, however well managed.

Its a high end luxury B&B not a 5* hotel. It is described as a hotel which is not really accurate. If I judge it as a B&B then it gets 5* but as a hotel only 3* I would recommend it to other travellers its a great location and a laid back atmosphere. The bed in room 5 is too high (dangerously so) perhaps the person who made it was given the wrong measurements. We had to run and leap to get on it. I am 5' tall & fit. It was like mounting a horse. The bathroom door doesnt fit either so if you like privacy avoid this room. There is a good 2" gap around the whole door (part of the design).

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Moss Grove Organic, the staff were lovely and the rooms were luxury with lovely bespoke wood furniture. The breakfast choice was superb. We would definately go back sometime. The only negative for us was the mattress was to firm so I woke up with a bad back and shoulder but apart from that it was perfect.

the overall interior design and colours were very earmarked and inviting. comfortable clean bed. and great under floor heating. friendly staff and breakfast wad very good and relaxed. definane reccomend. although breakfast was superb for me and porridge delicious. think an option of cooked breakfast for some people would be worth considering.
