Helpful staff, central location, good value .
Great for sightseeing in Edinburgh, right in the centre, and a stones throw away from Waverley train station. Rooms always clean. Staff friendly.
The location excellent between the Royal Mile and the town 2 minutes to train station The room basic but comfortable A good size room Clean
No telephone in the room No instructions to use I believe air con/heating Room was hot
Cleanliness of room and comfort of beds. Everything needed for a good nights sleep.
Would have liked to have known which building we were booked into, well in advance. When we arrived we went to Princes Street and then had to lug our suitcases down to Market Street. Could have been a problem!
location ideal, cleanliness great a simple well laid out room, perfect for an overnight or short weekend break. Staff were very good also.
the chair at the desk in your room. It actually wasn't a chair and after about half an hour it's no fun anymore to sit on it. there was some kind of anti septic smell in the room.
Very unpleasant smell in the halls and our first room: had to change. No safe, short comforters, uncomfortable storage space
Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
It was a bit cold in our room. As the air-conditioning didn't work for heating, we borrowed a small fan heater at the reception. It was useful in terms of heating the room but noisy.
Location, location, location. If your wanting to spend the majority of your time in the old town near great local music bars this is the bomb.
Just be ready to take the staff who are not real clued up with a pinch of salt
Very good hotel. Will come back if I am going to Edinbourgh again
To hard mattresses. Could have been more soft.

Location and interior design of the hotel.
The location was ideal. Right across you had access to bus and trains. Good breakfast and had a bar on site with a great bartender.
Some of the standard rooms didn't have ideal ventilation or windows. One room had only a sky light and no other window. I would recommend you pay for an upgrade.
Very convenient location. Close to the Waverly train station and the bus stop for the airport. Royal mile is close.Good restaurants and grocery stores around the area. Internet was perfect. Breakfast was good and especially the croissants were very very fresh.Bathroom was newly renovated. Staff very friendly. Allowed us to print our boarding pass
The room was very very small. No chair was available. Not enough space to open the luggage comfortably. No phone to get a wake up call in the morning.
Great location with walking distance to all the sights. Kind staff and good food in the bar. Nice rooms too!
Position on Royal Mile
Stairs within building whilst getting to your room
Excellent modern, clean and central hotel. The room was very modern and well designed. Staff were polite and courteous, and my room was available early which was brilliant as I had travelled up from London early. Thanks for a great stay! Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nothing really, I would have liked to stay at the front overlooking the Scot Memorial and Princes street, but it was not included in a standard room!
Its location is excellent
Price Room being on an outside stairway subject to a lot of noise
Cleanliness, style and location
Location. It was quiet It was clean
Very hot and air con quite noisy. Quite confusing layout Staff member i dealt with could have been a bit more helpful with a request i had - got the impression she was heading off on a break. Check in staff were fine.
Staff Holding Facility Flexible check in (until 2AM)
Only one electric point in the room, which was too high from the floor for the kettle to plug into (unless you held it) It was overpriced for what it was - though it is very central
Very dangerous slippery floor in the shower. Water boiler without electrical outlet. No bedlamps or bedside tables. No place to put a toiletry case in the bathroom. Messy breakfastroom.
Location close to railway station Quiet and comfortable room Simple and reasonably priced breakfast
The size of the room. The bed. Loved the en suite bathroom so modern.
annoying that there was no plug near the kettle that I had to carry kettle over socket to boil whilst holding it.
