Just 2.4 miles from Manchester Airport, Pinewood on Wilmslow offers stylish 4-star accommodation and free parking.

Shrigley Hall Hotel, just 15 miles south of Manchester city centre, is an impressive manor house in leafy Cheshire countryside.
Score from 190 reviews Good
A red-bricked, Victorian archway leads to The Mere's acres of countryside, 18-hole championship golf course and spa. Local produce is served on seasonal menus at the 3 restaurants and lounge bars.
Score from 221 reviews Superb
Just 30 minutes’ drive from Manchester, this hotel is nestled in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, next to the River Dean. It boasts free Wi-Fi throughout the building, and free parking on site.
Score from 125 reviews Very good
Noise levels in the building - sound insulation is very poor, it would be noisy even without rowdy partying guests; with them, no fun at all.
A lovely old building, well preserved, elegant, and all the comforts of home.
Lovely staff, newly refurbished facilities, great breakfast.
Not possible to enjoy the grounds of the Hall, as most of it is taken by the golf course.
The pool area was outstanding. Can also recommend the full English breakfast. Spend the evenings in the cocktail lounge good service and atmosphere
Staff and food Superb.
Lack of consideration to other guests by conference delegates. No sleep. None of the room facilities worked.. Put n/a for bed because don't know what it was like to actually sleep in it...
The rooms were particularly clean and very well maintained. The breakfast was also very nice.
Both myself and partner are well into working out so were very impressed with the gym facilities. Double room was an very reasonable size although did have a problem with shower as water seemed to flow onto the floor.
The only negative thing I can think of was trying to find your way around the hotel. It was such a maze! More signs would be very welcome.
Enjoyed setting and leisure facilities
Noisy as poor sound proofing in bedrooms
The leisure facilities were very good.
Our bedroom layout and its furniture was the worse designed I've ever encountered. The wardrobe had lots of empty shelf spaces which weren't needed and very little hanging space for clothes which was needed. The one drawer available in the desk was miniscule and desperately shallow. The furniture was crammed in with not much space to manoeuvre. The light switches next to the bed were wider apart than the width of the bed so you had to reach past the bedside light on one side to switch it on and off. In the bathroom the toilet was crammed as close to the wall as possible though there was plenty of room for it further away. Also there was an extra small alcove (big enough to comfortably house a child's cot or an extra table and chair) attached to the room with no light fitting and no furniture in it. Utterly weird and just really badly thought through.
Welcoming pleasant staff
Opulent surroundings, friendly staff, fabulous food and great leisure facilities. This was perfect for a few nights away from it all.
Lovely property, however some of the rooms are hidden in a maze of corridors at different levels. Excellent dinner (the chump of lamb was exceptional) and breakfast was great too.
This is a busy place and the staff seem overworked. In the restaurant we experienced a string of errors by junior staff E.G. 'Merlot, is that red wine?' Starter served before drinks, a spoon to eat cheeseboard for example. Fortunately the head waiter repaired the errors and we left happy. Cocktails are below average quality and expensive.
The reception manager was very helpful.
First room the bed was wet through the mattress topper. Meant to be an executive room overlooking the lake we was looking at the car park and golf course. Moved rooms huge cobweb a cross the room. Third room was a suite good size but the bedding did not fit had a terrible nights sleep and was very upset with the £149 we paid for a poor hotel. The housekeeper for the hotel needs to be sacked. Some restaurant staff need to learn customer service skills and they need to see how a proper 4 star luxury hotel an restaurant works not one that's clears plates at a dummy waiter at the side of you grrrrr.
Room, bed, bar, pool
Everything, we have this venue booked for our wedding and after our stay couldnt be happier.
Couldnt stay longer
The room was very small
The location, the food, the helpful staff and definitely the leisure complex .
Only negative was the number of trays some containing waste food left outside rooms all night. Also banging doors from 7am to 9am.
When we went to book in we had changed our room to a suite but they had not been informed by booking . Com so it was stressful as the girl said we had to take it up with booking .com and we had to get the manager involved who found us a different suite which was lovely but not the one we booked and what if they had not got one as it was valentine weekend! I have had a lot of stress and a bereavement recently and we could have done without that upset checking in .
The location and the cleanliness of the hotel.
Our meal time had not been registered but we did get a time. We were offered only the valentine menue at £60 a head and we asked for the a la carte menue and were told we could have another set menue but these were the only two available. The food quantity was poor and even the cheaper menue was overpriced. I was very disappointed, and we will not be coming again.
Beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities.
The breakfast was not great at all.
Location would go back again
Tv did not work could not access the sky movies. Pillow's to soft.
Great setting both indoors and out. The bar manager to tried to put right the Chefs indiscretion. Great hotel just don't eat there
if there was a prise for the worst meal ever served then the Chef who served up the over cooked burger topped with raw bacon. and black chips has won it! No self respecting professional would have let the meal I received out of his or her kitchen. I have had better on a motorway service station. reported it to the hotel staff no follow up contact from the management
The staff at every level were fabulous, polite. helpful, and they would go out of their way to assist you. Beautiful setting and decor. Amazing Spa and pool, thermal rooms and hot tub. I will be back!
Bathrooms were a little tired compared to the room decor. Pool/ Spa need to make more towels accessible and readily available for guest.
