Perfect location for our trip as we were seeing a show at the Festival Theatre.
Room was great, though they said we'd been upbraded to a superior with a kingsize bed, yet the bed was still a double.
Breakfast was lovely, though it took forever to be served with coffee, after a couple of reminders.

Good quiet location but not much in Bonnyrigg or the surrounding towns. Handy for Edinburgh and Lothian coastal resorts. For us must see was nearby Roslin Chapel. Only nuisance was traffic on bypass at the nearest junctions.JohnUnited Kingdom

We were back visiting on our 13th wedding anniversary and having told the hotel this they arranged a card, bottle of champagne in the room and a great table for dinner. We stayed in the lodge for the first time. Big suite and very comfortable - a little hot but it was 28 degrees in Scotland so to be expected. Dinner in the dungeon was excellent with great food and wine. We also had a couple of hours relaxing in the spa.

They said the orangery was not in function at evening and the dungeon was too small to feed everyone at the hotel!! Disgrace, if you cannot accommodate dinner for all guest you should not offer any hotel rooms. This place is middle of nowhere and you shouldn't have to book in advance to eat at the hotel restaurant. Spa dated dated and not very hot water in pool or sauna.MariaUnited Kingdom

It is a beautiful place to go and disconnect for a weekend near Edinburgh. The orangery restaurant has an excellent selection of food and drink; if they know in advance, they adapt to your food requirements. The spa is small but offers a good range of offers. Finally the have a hidden gem, the library if you have time try to take tea or a drink there!!!!

We had a beautiful, large bedroom in the tower which was beyond expectations! We had our dinner in the dungeon, a wonderful experience, the food was 5 star as was the service.
