Guests of the hotel are welcome to use the extensive facilities of the health and fitness club, the largest on the Isle of Man. The sheer size of the complex and the astonishing level of equipment ensures that all demands are met in a relaxed and friendly environment. The 12.5 metre pool is complemented by a hydro-therapy pool, steam room and solarium. Children under the age of 15 may use the pool at restricted times and creche facilities are available.

I enjoy staying at the Mount Murray, however I was very disappointed that the cutesy transport to the airport was not available because the driver was picking up staff at the time I wanted to book The hotel is starting to look a little tired - could do with a re-furb |

Good location 5 mins from Douglas by car...Free car parking and WiFi. I arrived on the early ferry and was allowed to check-in early around 9am which was terrific. The hot water in the shower was a bit of a dribble...it's unusual for a big guy like me to have to run around to get wet...that apart there was nothing that would put me off staying there again....which I will do over Christmas. |

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff in spite of their foreign accents were very friendly and helpful. We had the misfortune to be staying in a period when they were re-vamping menus in the restaurant and the food was expensive, lacking in choice and disappointing with a lack of vegetables. |

Excellent buffet breakfast. Comfortable and very spacious room, with nice en-suite. We enjoyed the setting with the golf course and lake right next to the hotel buildings. |

We used to visit relatives on the island 10 years ago, but since they passed away we have not been back. Island has changed a lot since then. Decided to stay at the hotel because it had parking facilities whereas lots of hotels in Douglas did not. |

Large comfortable bed and views from the restaurant. The standard of the cooking was poor at both the bar and the breakfast.Needs addressing.it could be to do with staying on a Sunday night Monday morning sad to find beauty/massage not available on mondays. |

The Mount Murray has excellent facilities for those who like to maintain their fitness regime while on holiday. The gym is extensive with all the latest equipement and benefits from a swimming and hydro therapy pool.The breakfasts are very good and set you up for the day. A very comfortable hotel in a perfect setting. |

Very friendly staff, with service that couldn't be faulted. Excellent food in restaurants and bar - breakfast particularly good. A superb location, and very convenient position for touring the island. Well appointed room and superbly comfortable king-size bed. Free wi-fi. Out of town location, but close enough to Douglas to be able to get taxi into town at a very reasonable price in the evenings. Excellent health club (but very busy with club members early mornings and evenings). Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again - we really enjoyed our stay, and the comments below are just very minor niggles. Large coach tour groups all in breakfast at the same time on several mornings, so very busy and staff really stretched to cope, with long queues at the buffet. However, table service was always good and food from the a la carte breakfast menu arrived very quickly. An older building, so our room was not as quiet as it might have been - we were woken on several mornings by numerous doors slamming along the corridor and by noisy plumbing from the floor above when coach parties were on the move early, and we had an interconnecting door to the next room through which we could clearly hear telephone calls, conversations, television etc. (Probably just unlucky to have a couple of nights of loud neighbours!) |

Splendid serounding, kind staf and good food. Initial room offered (512) had no view at all, window was facing a wall at a few meters distance. This room should be used as spare room only and offered against a 50 % discount rate. |

The large bed - the breakfasts - plenty of choice - the location ie the views Yes the evening meals were on the cool side - had gammon one night and this wasn't very hot - the 2nd night had chicken curry - had to send this back as it was stone cold and the 3rd night had steak and ale pie and the veg was cold - so don't rate the evening meals. |

The location was good and sports facilities appeared good Despite ordering a third bed for our 4 year old daughter we arrived , checked into our room late at night and didnt have the bed in the room. We then had to move rooms just for one night and move our things again the next morning wasting a few hours of our short break. Not a good customer experience. Also you should advise future guests with children that the swimming pool is out of bounds for them for the majority of the time. This didn't go down well with my daughter and would prevent us staying there again. |
