Breakfast was nice
Arrived later in the evening, bar food only available till 2100 room looked tired and in need of an upgrade bathroom again needs refurbishment, shower next to useless. Bed uncomfortable and pillows hard and again not very comfortable. My company booked this and not one I would have chosen
For the price I found it very good and the breakfast was excellent with chargrilled bacon and sausage, lovely.
Bed was creaky and mattress needed throwing. But the Manager replaced it immediately with a much better one. And was very polite. Hence comfy sleep.
View from bedroom was stunning!
Bed a bit too soft
Very friendly staff. A warm welcome greeted us on arrival. Lovely location. Nice lounge area by the bar.
We booked an early evening meal for 5 people . The dinning room was absent of any atmosphere & uninviting. Very basic table setting, just cutlery & napkins. (Alittle thought could quite easily changed this , wine glasses, table decoraton etc. The food lacked imagination and was plated like a school dinner. Great disappointment as l hadn't seen my nephew in many years and wanted this to be special. The bedroom furniture in general seem abit tired and there was no hair dryer in the room.
Lovely situation in the middle of Great Malvern. excellent starting point for walking over the hills and only a stones throw from the Priory, Theatre etc
Rooms at the back have nothing like as good a view as those at the front.
The good and stairs everywhere.
A particular male staff member was very rude to my girlfriend. Very disappointing
great staff giving a wonderful atmosphere , close to Morgan factory for visiting . great location all round
Lots of stairs which could affect some people
proximity to the theatre. early dinner available.
The staff are well presented, friendly, and helpfull.
The hotel is in urgent need of refurbishment. The bathroom is a disgrace. The furniture looks as if it came from a second hand shop. The duvet cover 6 ins. shorter than the duvet. The view from the window looked over the rear of the hotel, it looked like a rubbish dump, buildings falling down, old timber strewn everywhere. The breakfast; awful. We payed for a two nights stay, but walked out after the first night and booked in to another hotel. It is a grand building, but sadly not looked after.
Very small and outdated, no overhead shower just a show head on the bath taps, most of the fittings did not match
The room was spacious and clean, and everything we needed was supplied.
The cooked breakfast wasn't cooked very well.
Hotel location, outlook of room five, furnishings in keeping with period of the building, TV reception. Willingness of staff to provide items which should have been there in the first place.
Breakfast items not available / replenished before being drawn to the attention of staff. Breakfast quality variable and not necessarily just as ordered. Wifi is pitiful.
I liked the service & the Beautiful location
Comfortable night, decent breakfast and well looked after. I left my electric toothbrush in the room and they very kindly posted it to me at no extra expense (although I will refund the cost the next time I stay).
Location of hotel is good for town and hill walks
Room had damp and mould in bathroom Near fire escape that opened onto building site. Building work should be mentioned as it does make the property look messy Staff were lapse at breakfast -we had to ask for tea and toast Payment was demanded on arrival without any orientation about the hotel, a little rude!
Outstanding views over the Malvern Hills and very good location.
Hotel let down by being tired and dated. The en suite was abysmal - bare and basic, toilet did not flush properly, no hand rail over bath or safety mat in bath. Shower from bath taps - back to the 50s! I would expect some form of luxury from an £85 a night B& B. Shame!
the view from window was lovely. Staff very friendly and amenable. great location as we were playing at the Malvern rocks festival The breakfast was really good
toilet flush was difficult, this was all. would definately stay here again.
Location Initial look from the outside as we had visited and used the bar & terrace before. Staff were friendly when approached
The Breakfast was not very inviting. A small table pushed into the corner of a room only accessible to one person at a time and looked rather stingy. We had to ask for butter, jam, toast, sugar, the juice jars were left empty without being refilled and coffee too (there were 4 people in having breakfast at the time so not rushed off feet). There was a wedding going on which was fine, but if the pipes in the bathroom of number 4 had a bit of insulation then this would help keep the noise down a bit. Room 4 also smelt strongly of smoke and needs refreshing.
The views from the bedroom
Breakfast only started at 7:30
POOR HOTEL WITH NO LIFE FACILITY POOR DECOR AND LOOKS RUN DOWN AND READY FOR A REVAMP. BREAKFAST WAS JUST A GREASY MESS
Just a couple of miles from show ground which suited us.....good location......lovely breakfast.
Friendly staff and clean pleasant room. Breakfast freshly cooked and excellent!
Wifi VERY hit and miss depending on where you were in the hotel - our room had no wifi access
Very friendly staff all round, nice atmosphere I even liked the atmospheric feel the creaky stairs gave the place! Great views from double bedroom (5 or 7). Cooked breakfast was delicious, just enough to fill us up but not overloaded on the plate like some places, very well done overall! Staying in rooms 5 and 7 (I would highly recommend the double room out of these two, beautiful room) The double room has an amazing look with its grand furniture and high ceiling.
Decor needed a bit of a sprucing up in places, my wife and I stayed with my father for his 60th birthday to walk the hills at silly o'clock in the morning, we stayed in rooms 5 and 7. The double room was ruined only by the telephone and clock which had turned yellow with age, a retro style clock and phone would have been the 'piece de resistance'. In the single room my father says he was woken a few times by what sounded like a boiler room below his room.
