Accom and breakfast was great as was service. Staff very obliging. Only short walk to centre of town
Not much not to like-Front room gives nice sea views but downside is traffic noise-horses for courses I guess.
I particularly liked the breakfast, the best breakfast during our 2 month holiday. I liked the house and the silence of the house during bedtime. I liked the cleanliness of the home.
Nothing I can think of.
A warm welcome after a five hour drive. We had a choice of rooms and took room number 10. Ground floor. The bay window view of the sea and St. Michael's Mount was beautiful. The room was quite large and the bathroom was compact but very good. Good choices for breakfast and everything fresh ( especially the fruit ). So easy to drive to St.Ives, Lands End, Mousehole and all the places in-between. On our last day we got to meet Poppy, the latest addition to the family, a beautiful Ragdoll cat. Looking forward to seeing her again.
A bit of a walk into Penzance for dinner.( 10 - 15 mins.) But the walk back helps burn off the calories from desert.
very good breakfast very clean room very attentive manager
a very small thing could have done with something to hold on to to get in and out of the bath but managed
intimate atmosphere Friendly staff good food
you can walk on the beach to St. Michaels Mount (about 1 hour), beautiful, very good breakfast, very charming.
Family business, very friendly and breakfast was a real treat
Bed was a bit narrow but that's to be expected if you're used to a broad bed at home, so personal.
Location, wonderful staff, great breakfast, short walk from train and bus station
The host, Tom, was most helpful.
The binoculars in r4oom. Breakfasts customer service and level of friendliness Location position re both scenery and proximity to town centre. Bed linen (not quilt!)
Lack of a bar.
The location was fantastic, easy walking to town, quiet even though on main road, great service and brekky. Great opportunity to interact with other travellers. Wonderful old charm house.
No shower (bath only), bathroom soaps etc not restocked (3 days).
Room comfort, service and breakfasts very good. Very convenient location.
Traffic noise quite loud.
Nice room, nice staff, Beautifully decorated in all areas
Traffic noise, driveway Long life milk Shower small
The whole ambience of this hotel reflects the care of the owners who quite obviously love the building and all of its history. It is a real pleasure to stay and we hope to be able to visit again.
The staff were amazing, very attentive. The room smelt really clean when we first opened the door. Breakfast was really really good, fresh fruit, proper tea and coffee, you could request what you wanted for breakfast you didn't have to stick to the menu.
It could have done with some background music at breakfast, it was so quite that you felt everyone could overhear your conversation.
The friendly and helpful staff. The flexible arrangements for breakfast when an early departure was required. Excellent breakfast itself. Lovely 19th century house with great views over Mount's Bay.
Sitting room and dining room - beautiful, elegant rooms. Ambience, service and food was superb.
Bedroom - noisy and somewhat cramped
The view of the bay from our room. The wonderful mattress. Spacious room with antique furnishings. Excellent, friendly, helpful hosts.
Being right on a busy road.
Breakfast, location and especially the service were A+mazing! My husband remembers that wonderful, freshly made, plentiful breakfast and can still savour it. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Large comfortable bed. Good location.
It seemed a shame that they had obviously spent money on expensive table ware and they then let themselves down with plastic shelves and hooks in the bathroom and a rather sad plastic shelf for the tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom. Also the lack of an extra blanket in the bedroom in case of a chilly night.
nice house and room, very friendly owners, excellent breakfast, close to Centre and railway station.
washbasin ind the room, mini tv of 19", extremely noisy (direct on the main road) no sleep possible before 11pm and after 6am and in between only with closed windows; mattresses to soft; price/performance not correct = too expensive
The location of the hotel being only a short distance from the coach and rail station and town shops. The accommodation was very clean and the service was efficient. The staff were helpful and considerate. Thank you.
We would have liked our room to have had an ensuite arrangement.
Tom made us feel very welcome. Room was a great size. Breakfast was great. Location was just perfect. Close to lots of attractions. Would definately recommend to anyone travelling to Penzance. A big thank you to Tom and his family. Michael & Carol Australia.
the victorian style of this hause and the outstanding Service. This is a very sympatic place to stay
Mount Royal was clean and well presented.Staff were very helpful. Little things like the binoculars to watch the sea and shipping.
The stay was not long enough.
