Score from 17 reviews Superb
friendly and helpful staff very accommodating to our late night check in
quality of rooms old and dated decor grubby shower curtains, bad mattress, bad pillows, pealing wall paper etc! no wifi in rooms and television didn't work our friends had a top floor room with two large velux windows which had no blinds. This simple addition would be cheap and easy and would have completely changed their nights sleep!
Recently updated bathrooms and large bedroom
did not have breakfast before 08:00 hours
Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, room was large and clean, food was delicious
The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable but had a winter quilt so I was too hot.
The facilities. The blind in my room was down when I went in because it was broken. The free WiFi basically didn't work. The radio alarm couldn't be set and I couldn't turn the TV on. Basically needs an update.
Excellent value for money. good wifi
not a lot to do for my teenage son
-Dirty room -No hot water -Flat pillows -Breakfast starts at 8.00 we wanted to be out and gone by then -
Bed too soft. Room overcrowd ed. Felt old fashioned
The allocated room was acceptable (as a 'superior' room)
The disorganisation at breakfast and the poor quality served, such as cold bacon and sausage and hard fried eggs. Also toast was cold and soggy and served on the same plate as the cooked breakfast!
fire alarm on sunday morning!
The view and breakfast
Old and tired electrics. No quck response when false fire alarm. A long wait for dinner
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
Friendly staff. Bangers to die for Fresh and comfortable room
Obvious understaffing overall After years of drinking coffee throughout Europe I'm of the conclusion that this is the worst coffee I have ever drunk in my life and that's bad however not the end of the world
nice clean accommodation .spacious double room convienent location for us.
Graham doesn't work there any more not the same atmosphere now !
The staff who were on duty Andy andJosh were excellent. The food was good too. We had a very enjoyable stay.
The hotel was great could not of picked a better place location was fantastic and peaceful just what we wanted and the views were great defo go back there again and the breakfast was very nice staff were friendly and very welcoming
The golf course
Noisy area when sitting outside Had to move room as TV didn't work Cracked sink No Air conditioning No fruit at breakfast only one cup of coffee for breakfas A long way to walk around the building to the resurant couldn't get through the conservatory
The staff were very friendly and the bar was comfortable. It was a great base for the Hoylake Golf open which was the purpose of our visit.
The web site says there is a thai restaurant in the hotel which is why I booked it but it is now closed down and they have not changed their web site, you can only get bar food. There was a graduation party there and although it did not bother us I think they should advise people. The room was very hot and appeared unfinished, for example they could not find the remote anywhere, the bathroom had no towel rails or shower curtain.
Nice bedroom overlooking golf course
No leisure facilities Not told until arrival chef on bereavement leave so no evening catering Poor attention to detail;decor tired. No breakfast before 8am;couldnt wait Over priced
The gentleman on reception was very helpful and even opened breakfast early for us as we were going to The Open that morning. Clean comfortable room. There was a party on until late at hotel but the rooms were sound proofed so we weren't disturbed.
TV didn't work in one of the rooms but it was too late when we realised to ask a member of staff to look at it.
Good location for the Open Golf
Restaurant run down and odor from carpet. Coffee was appalling.
Location was great for us. Bedroom had lovely views with a comfortable bed. ady at the reception was very friendly and helpful.
Food menu in the bar was very limited with no desserts. Breakfast food was good but the help yourself cereals/juice etc could have had more choice, also no marmalade. Tables were prelaid but without enough cutlery ie no separate knife for buttering your toast.
A very good all round place to stay. The staff worked hard and were really friendly. The room was unusual and very tidy, clean and comfortable. I'd stay there again.
There was nothing to dislike
The staff were excellent. They did everything they possibly could & more to make our stay the most comfortable as possible. They were great with our son, & that made us feel happy.
Nothing really apart from some other residents who did nothing but complain. When really they had nothing to complain about.
Fantastic location lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, good food, was really good to be able to sit out while all kids played!!!! FANTASTIC, already looking at going back
