Staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful, rooms were clean, food was amazing and excellent value for money. We enjoyed the breakfast and had a dinner there and no grease and full of flavour.
bathrooms could do with a makeover as they are a bit 70's, also odd there are a few lightbulbs missing from the lamps in our rooms which made them a bit dark.
Pleasant, helpfull staff, very comfortable, clean and well equiped rooms. Excellent, well presented food which we ate in the well stocked and comfortable bar. Lovely surroundings, particularly the views over the golf course and the estuary. Will definitely stay again - but bring the golf clubs next time!
Free wifi was intermittent as was mobile phone connectivity. Problem with room heating on arrival, although very quickly sorted by very efficient staff.
. The breakfast was fantastic, as was the service provided on both mornings by all the people serving us in the restaurant.
Bathroom no soap or glasses and the basin leaked .- . Restaurant not open on Friday or Saturday night, the food served in the bar was excellent and good value but the menus were awful in their presentation. Also having football on three wide screens in the bar when we were the only customers and we were not interested in football was disappointing. We had planned a business dinner for six on the Saturday, but had to go elsewhere for this
Lovely location with stunning views. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.
The only fault I have is that it took a while for the rooms to warm up as it went really cold.
very clean and tidy and staff very helpfull
Big spacious room veryy comfortable excellent food
Car park could be noisy if hotel was busier
Everything except that below.
No tumblers in room. No soaps or shampoo in bathroom. Heating not turned on in readiness for our arrival. No provision for our dog who had to sleep in the car.
Location and attractive property. Good meal in the evening in the bar but football on the TV spoilt the ambience!
Minimal breakfast, no menu, just asked what we wanted. Just one cup of coffee and no one around to ask if we could have more coffee or toast so felt awkward. No soap in the room.
First room we were offered was 14 and was bleak to say the least. No lampshades, no valance on bed, thin sheets, mouldy roof light windows with flapping blinds, terrible bathroom, cold, damp and uninviting...Worst hotel room I have ever seen. We walked straight back out. On complaining, we were moved to room 3 which was warm and clean but still a huge disappointment. Breakfast was bizarre, Moroccan/Asian themed room, dirty glasses and cutlery and Luke warm food. Don't bother visiting for an overnight stay. On the positive, we were attending a party in the function room, which was actually a lovely room. If not for the party, which was lovely, we would have turned around and headed home! Very poor value for money. Avoid at all costs!
Nice quiet hotel, great breakfast, very helpful staff.
Nothing to fault this hotel, our weekend stay was a joy, excellent
As we had broken down whilst there when we asked if we could stay in our room a few hours after check out time until the car was repaired we were told it would be an extra £40 so we had to decamp to the bar
Wasnt sure about breakfast times so didnt have one
THE OPEN ASPECT/ VIEWS
NOT MUCH TO DISLIKE
Beautiful location, friendly staff but the room wasn't very clean, lots of dead flies on the surfaces and no housekeeper came to service our room during our stay
friendly and helpful staff very accommodating to our late night check in
quality of rooms old and dated decor grubby shower curtains, bad mattress, bad pillows, pealing wall paper etc! no wifi in rooms and television didn't work our friends had a top floor room with two large velux windows which had no blinds. This simple addition would be cheap and easy and would have completely changed their nights sleep!
Recently updated bathrooms and large bedroom
did not have breakfast before 08:00 hours
Large room. Some staff very good and attentive
Had to ask one staff more than once for some things. Spoke to manager but a very poor listener. WiFi very unreliable.
My wife and i both the location backing out onto a Golf course, as we are country people we liked that, last gripe we did find a nice pub called the Coach and Horses that did a nice dinner just down the road
though the room was clean the toilet holder was broken, also the one in the shower, television not working, no paper work left for you, and you had to ask where breakfast was being, to get to your room you had to climb some metal stares outside,no dinner being served second night
Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, room was large and clean, food was delicious
The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable but had a winter quilt so I was too hot.
The facilities. The blind in my room was down when I went in because it was broken. The free WiFi basically didn't work. The radio alarm couldn't be set and I couldn't turn the TV on. Basically needs an update.
Excellent value for money. good wifi
not a lot to do for my teenage son
-Dirty room -No hot water -Flat pillows -Breakfast starts at 8.00 we wanted to be out and gone by then -
Bed too soft. Room overcrowd ed. Felt old fashioned
