Food was nice, although stopped serving before time advertised. Staff were friendly, except for the bar staff in function room, who seemed hard pushed to raise a smile to the customers. Service was fair though. Bar prices were fair. Rooms good size, beds uncomfortable. Clean-ish rooms, outdated though. Good space for clothes. Tea & coffee making facilities. hairdrer didnt work, lamshade hangign off, tv, the sise of postage stamp! Good breakfast, friendly on check-out. I would rate this hotel 7/10.

The food at the Mountain Park was excelent. Our breakfast set us up for the day. The room that my parents stayed in was to a very high standard. The surroundings were stunning and the bar area was relaxed. The first family room they gave us had a fly problem. I went to reception and they moved us straight away. The second family room we had had not been cleaned properly and had a dirty beer glass in it and smelled of smoke and had spilled milk behind the kettle. I didn't want to go back and complain again but did see the cleaner and asked her to clean up the milk, and gave her the glass. She wasn't appolagetic. The radiator in the bathroom wasn't workin and felt cold. Did ask for it to be turned on or repaired. But this wasn't done. In fairness to the hotel they knocked off the charges for the breakfast which reduced our bill considerably.

Very informal Meals available until 9.30pm Bed was extremely comfortable Tea & Coffee facilities in the room (although kettle was very small-a travelling size one)Spacious bathroom Ground floor rooms for the two elderly ladies (88 & 79yrs) so no steps to climb Rather noisy at the weekend owing to parties being held on two consec utive nights. The two elderly ladies in our party (88yrs & 79yrs old) found it difficult to climb into the shower, didn't know that there was not a separate shower but only one over the bath so they couldn't use the shower.

We stayed at this hotel when we arrived we got our room keys and the room was very spacious, it had 2 twin beds in a nd a double so it was great as we had our 3 year old with us so lots of room to play around. We went for a stroll into the garden where there was some very out dated climbing frame, 2 swings and a slide that look like they had just painted then to cover the flaking paint. We eat dinner in the evening which was very good. But breakfast well where do I start!! We had to lay our own table, these was no menu card to show you what they did for breakfast, they never gave you teaspoons for you tea or coffee we had to ask on both days, no napkins. so although the rooms were good they need to train there staff more.

We booked a room as we had booked the function room for the night. Staff very accomadating and polite. good food for the function. Room was comfortable for our needs (tv's are small). Goode location not far from Chester and close to main expreesway (less than 5 Mins). Very good breakfast and their were other friends who had rooms who were a bit fragile and late for breakfast but the were still served. All in all an enjoyable evening and stay. Bathrooms could do with updating (minor point).

The food was lovely, and everyone was really friendly. The room was spotless, and I was really imjpressed with it. A lot nicer than I was expecting and I would reccomend it to anybody wanting a quiet get away. In the middle of nowhere so lovely to get away but wouldn't reccomend it to people wanting a louder type break.

The hotel is in a very picturesque location and the building is attractive as you drive in. The modern bar and Moroccan themed restaurant are both well decorated and the staff were very friendly and welcoming; though we had to go on a little hunt to find them! The hotel room was simple and dated but comfortable enough and value for money. Breakfast was very satisfying with the usual cereals and a full English cooked to order. Walls are quite thin and it would also be nice to have some decaf hot drink options at breakfast.

The room was very clean having been just refurbished and very well presented the bed was comfortable and the bathroom very clean. However the hot and cold taps in the shower were on the wrong way round so could scald someone. When I pointed this out at the checkout she stated they knew and were waiting for it to be fixed- but there was no warning in the room!. There was not a hair dryer avaiable which she also stated she knew about- good job I came prepared. The surroundings were very nice as was the bar area an and the function room. The booking in process took twenty minutes despite having a print out from prior booking. One person was given a dirty room and another had to wait 30 mins for their room key. The breakfast was poor more what you would expect in a B & B. No chioce of fruit, pastries, meats cheeses fruit juice yogurt e.t.c This was brought to the table as was tea and coffee no offer was made to replenish any of them. The toast was like cardboard. The buffet for the previous evenings party ran out resulting in half the party having to wait the food was nice but not enough of it. It seemed like they were trying to get the maximum profit from the minimum outlay.

Room 20 next to golf course, nice view, quite relaxing. Weather was shocking (very windy and squally showers) kept us awake, but that wasn't the hotel's fault! Bathroom - sloping roof towards the sink, same colour as the walls, bumped head twice!

Represents very good value for money. Nothing flashy but food was excellent (very good chinese rstaurant attached), room was ok and shower was very good. Decor was looking a bit tired, but clean enough. Best of all they had custard creams in the room ...outstanding!! Decor a little bit tired, but generally this is a good value-for- money hotel
