Staff were very courtious, location away from the town centre. Hotel has character. Executive Room based away from main building, so even though a wedding reception was held, we were not troubled by any noise.

I liked the bed The hotel is run by children, none of whom are business minded or pleasant to talk to. There wasn't a single member of staff who could answer a query with a smile. Beautiful hotel unfortunately the same cannot be repeated for the staff.

The breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly . Rooms are far too small . Beds are miniscule and do not cater for anyone over 5ft9. I only just fitted in the shower.

Excellent staff and good location for my purpose. Good value for price. Rooms need updating. Haven't seen such a small old fashioned flat screen tv for years. Beds passed their best for comfort.

The setting and building Comfortable bed Reception staff not overly friendly, waiting staff at breakfast not very attentive. Room although supposed to an executive room didn't have any extra's such as robes, mini fridge, hotel info and no mirror above the desk/vanity area where the hairdryer was located. Dust on the beams, some repairs needed on the paintwork. Shower was a bad design that moved it not in the correct position and screen didn't stop the water from spraying into the bathroom. The quality of the breakfast was below average, not enough tables and had to wait for more tables to laid to accommodate us and other guests.

The room was comfortable, although, having booked a double, it was disappointing that it also had a single bed, which limited the space. There were several functions happening on Saturday night but, unusually, there seemed to be no bedrooms near the function rooms, so they caused no disturbance. Check-in was slow and the couple in front of us, who had also booked via booking.com found that their booking had not been made. The car park is not large enough to cater for the large number of non-residents who were attending functions. It is also not well marked and the defined spaces are not at all easy to identify, especially in the dark. On return from Wolverhampton races just after 9 pm, there was only one space available and that was very difficult to use because of poor parking on either side of it. Breakfast on Sunday morning was a shambles! The whole room was laid up as tables of 10, which were very cramped. This arrangement encouraged large parties to sit and chat for a long time, so space was at a premium. There were not enough staff to allow the tables to be cleared, so we had to sit amongst the debris of other people. I have eaten bad sausages at many hotels, but those served at the Mount were the worst I have ever experienced, with no hint of any real meat; they were just like a paste. The chafing dishes were not regularly replenished and the food was not hot. A very disappointing end to a good stay.

The staff were excellent. Room, not enough facilities, no suitcase stand, one window would not open, marks on mirror, paintwork not perfect, no tissues. The location and grounds. And the staff I could not fault.

The proximity to Wightwick Manor was the reason for choosing the hotel. We had travelled from Norfolk so needed to be close as the Manor was the purpose of our trip. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient a real pleasure. The TV screen in the lounge bar was very irritating but avoided by using another area which was adequate. Similary the TV in the breakfast room was unnecessary. I also think they could provide better quality bread.
