The only good thing I can think of is the location of the b&b which is only10mins walk to the beach. Room is ok but the shower rom is small. Don't like the bedsheet as it's 100% nylon rather than cotton made. The lady owner Sally was very rude to me as we had some confusion with the breakfast time. Really bad customer service. Won't recommend to anyone!

Victorian house with very special design. Looks kind of strange at first sight, but clean and has its own charme. Very friendly and talkative host, good breakfast, parking ok. Not far to beach and about 15 min walk to good restaurants. room and ensuite bath very small.

We needed a friendly comfortable B& B to relax after our Daughters wedding as we were very tired . Mount House was in a good location easy walikng distance from Shanklin Station the proprietors Graham and Sally were friendly and welcoming and willing to advise on bus routes or the best places to eat out in the evening .The bedroom was small but clean quiet and the bed very comfortable .The shower worked well and we enjoyed a good english homecooked breakfast !. We would recommend Mount House as value for money Thank you we went home refreshed . It was as described a small room

The rooms are very clean although it was a step back to the 60s the rooms need to be bought up to date the shower room was rdiculously small the breakfast was really good & sally was polite & friendly .They advertised a Bar but when we asked where it was we told told the council wanted to much money for the licence a drink would have been nice when we came in ,in the evenings. Graham needs to be more proffessional he talked to guests about other guests business & where they were coming from there is no confidentiality regarding other peoples business It would be nice to have breakfast without being talked to continously by Graham no confidentiality

The full English breakfast was lovely! The staff happily provided us with more toast and let us pick and choose from the breakfast menu. They were friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome in their home. Mount House is within good walking distance of Shanklin's high street and our room at the back of the B and B was quiet, with a view of the garden. Customer parking was available and our room was comfortable and clean. Great value for money! The decoration of the B and B was a little chintzy and our shower was rather small. However the chintzy decor is what you expect from a B and B so it adds to the English holiday charm. Perhaps the shower would have been a little better if it had had a glass door instead of a shower curtain. Please don't let this put you off Mount House. It is a clean and comfortable B and B that offers good value for money.

It was nice little friendly run Guest House in a good position to the station, beach, and the beautiful old town of Shanklin. The staff were very friendly and always willing to give you the correct information to events and good places to see a round the island. It was a very peaceful environment and we would come again. I would take my car next time has the local transport was expensive and a car is a big plus has to seing the many attractions on the island. I did not see anything that I did not like. It is good value for this type of short break hoilday that we both needed.

The family running the Mount House is really kind and helpful. The house is only 10 minutes to the town center. Our room was very nice decorated (I guess- typical English style) and also very clean. The breakfast was very good (freshly cooked). It was cold at nights.
