“ Beautiful, charming villa, renovated with love! Equally charming owners and great breakfast :o) ” Sibylla, Oberursel (taunus) Within 5 minutes’ walk of Sunderland city centre, homemade, full English breakfasts are served at this Victorian guest accommodation. A private bathroom with a shower and a range of toiletries is included in each room, as well as a flat-screen TV. Free private parking and free Wi-Fi are offered. A fridge and a microwave are available for guests to use and a TV with a DVD player and a games console feature in the communal lounge area. Newcastle city centre and the Metro Centre, a large shopping centre, are 30 minutes’ drive away. Mowbray Gardens, Sunderland Museum and Park Lane Metro Station can be reached after a 10-minute walk. Rooms comfortable and clean. Lovely breakfast - well prepared and served hot. Nothing was too much trouble. My train was late and I didn't arrive until 23.40 but even this was accepted courteously . Definitely on my list to recommend to colleagues. Window cleaner arriving at 08.30 was a little early for some guests!

Rooms were very adequte, clean and comfortable. Friendly reception at all times. Convenient for the familiy function we had. I'd stay again, even on business. I'd forgotten about Seagulls in the dawn hours

The large high ceilinged rooms and the spacious en-suite facilities were excellent. The warm welcome and general helpfulness of the owners was also greatly appreciated. The fact that I was not staying longer!

I really don't want to tell you - in case it's full when I next need to go! This was my first time there. Wonderful value for money. Lovely host (Alison), very warm and welcoming and lovely (hot!) cooked breakfast - at the (early) time I needed it. Very clean room. Central location - fantastic for the price. Having to go to leave and go to work the next day!

1. Bathroom too small. 2. WC flush knob not attached properly. 3. Poor quality fittings and decor - skirting board breaking away from wall. 4. Nowhere to hang wet towel. 5. Inadequate breakfast - I expected at least a cooked breakfast. 6. Long walk from town centre.
