This family run hotel and restaurant has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, where accommodation offers a unique fusion of contemporary design and the enduring qualities of the original Victorian structure. Centrally located in the charming town of Hebden Bridge, Moyles is around a 35 minutes journey from both Leeds and Manchester. The area is wonderful for walking, and for those with an interest in history and literature, the Brontes Parsonage is nearby. The restaurant is informal, light and airy space, where original dishes are created using fresh local ingredients whenever possible. The bar has an extensive selection of beers and spirits, popular with locals, yet attracting visitors from much further afield. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The hotel was well located for wandering around the town, and less than 10 minutes walk from the railway station. Although the bathroom looked very modern and attractive, it was not very practical. A stand up shower was impossible and the lighting meant one's face was in shadow while shaving.

The hotel is pleasantly quirky, featuring themed rooms & an urbane atmosphere considering its counrtyside location. The standard of cuisine & service in the restaurant was superb. Being a converted older building by the side of a main road, the lack of double glazing means heavy early mornning traffic disrupts sleep.

It was really welcoming. Great location, excellent staff and fantastic breakfast. There was no mirror close to a plug socket, so I couldn't look at myself while drying my hair!

Staff very friendly and professional. Breakfast very good and freshly cooked. Lunch also very good and value for money. Lighting in both the bedroom and bathroom was extremely poor, we could not see properly to do either make-up or shave. Although the bed was extremely comfortable with rest of the room looked tired and not very well furnished. Bathroom, although up to date facilities, was extremely small and it would have been nice to have a bath as well as a shower. We were in Room 1 which was badly overlooked by roof terrace across the road. Couldn't close the blinds because lighting was so poor. Noisy pub revellers until about 1.00a.M. No free parking except between 6.00pm and 08.00am.
