Lovely scenery, warm welcome and comfortable building with a real sense of the past. Delicious dinner menu, attractivley presented and of the highest quality. And to think we arrived because we couldn't get into the hotel we wanted. Most enjoyable stay. |

Scenery from the hotel was lovely. Staff were friendly. Didn't think the room qualified as a superior room. no choice of menu Xmas Eve and Boxing Day although food was really good but expensive, and the fact that coffee was extra and not included in the price |

The peace and superb staff We did not mind the 12.5% service charge on the final bill but objected strongly to the same percentage being added to drinks over the bar paid for in cash. We would rather have given a cash tip to the staff. |

The food was outstanding as was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The mood was relaxed and cared for. A most enjoyable break. The bathroom was not up to the excellent standard of everything else. The shower did not work very well and the flow of water was poor. |
