Location good. Male receptionist very friendly and professional.
No hot water in basins. My mother is 87 and was told by the receptionist to boil a kettle for a wash! She has raynards and cannot grip but this was not acceptable. I spoke to the duty manager on Friday morning re the water, he was going to ring a plumber but we heard nothing else. He said if things weren't resolved we could have a reduction of payment but we had left on Saturday before he came on duty. Things were not resolved therefore we would like a reduction as promised. We were offered a different room but as I had booked for ground floor this was out of the question. On the first morning my husbands breakfast was cold, this was immediately rectified but should not have happened in the first place.
carpets were very stained. 3 lights not working in room. ensuite was very cramped. shower took 45 minutes to drain owner was very indifferent at check out
friendly staff ,nice and cofortable rooms!
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile. we were attending a wedding in troon and the taxi service was very busy due to Ayr races being on but no bother to the owner, he arranged for us to be dropped off at the wedding in syle in his merecedes. Thank you Steve. We had lunch and breakfast and enjoyed both. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Close to airport very friendly staff
Lots of stairs, we had to repack our bags before flying again so had to lug all bags upstairs
The breakfast The dining room. The fireplace. Plenty of staff
Two senior staff members were fairly rude and also extremely nosey (whilst others were regularly nice).
staff very helpful
Dirty, poor hot water, 4rd floor without elevator, poor beds, very substandard in general.
Being able to Take my dog and the food was home cooked.
Wifi never worked
The Lodge was ok and it was clean (except stains on sheets). The Breakfast was good - choice of Continental and Cooked.
The check in was very unprofessional. The lady at reception was making comments about us Polish taking jobs from Scots. I'm working in hospitality and I have never came across such poor customer service. The actual name of the property should be sorted as the check in and Breakfast was at the Manor Park Hotel. There were stains on the sheet, the sink in the bathroom was too small - could hardly wash my hands. The heater in room 31 was making noise all night even that it was switched off.
The staff were generally friendly (but they were all in the other hotel).and the breakfast (also in the other hotel) was good. The proximity to the airport excellent. The room was fine except for the problem described in the other section.
The hotel is really an annexe to another hotel. There were no facilities in the Muirhouse itself and if you neded to speak to staff you had to walk down a busy road to the other hotel. I had a problem with a flushing toilet in my room all night which was difficult to resolve as there were no staff available. Also my tea making equipment was lacking (no cups or kettle). However I did get a discount because of it.
Never actually got staying at the lodge, when we arrived we were told to check in at the sister hotel The Manor Park, which looked far superior. We were delighted when the guy on reception offered us the two best rooms in the hotel for the same price as the lodge. We were heading to a wedding in Troon, and this was only a short taxi ride away. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and a few drinks in the bar, and an excellent breakfast the next morning.I would also recommend this hotel for a park and stay if travelling from Prestwick Airport.
Room - not good. Stained carpets. Poor shower. No bedside lights. Sour milk. Uncomfortable beds.
Breakfast was good
Shower was broke and cold staff did not fix after asking room no wardrobe mirror very poor. Shower mouldy broken and cold water, Room carpet dirty and smelly. Cramped room with nowhere to hang clothes or get ready with no mirror. Very poor
