Travel information

By Car:
From the North/Kilmarnock:
- Follow the A77 south for 7 miles.
- At the Monkton roundabout take the 2nd turning on the left; you are now on Kilmarnock Road.
- Follow this road for 600 metres and Muirhouse is on your right-hand side.

By Air:
Muirhouse Farm Guest House is situated within 3 minutes away from Glasgow Prestwick International Airport.
- Exit the car park onto the main road, the A79, and turn right.
- Continue straight on, through the first immediate roundabout.
- Continue until you reach the 2nd roundabout and then take the turning off this road on the right-hand side, onto the B739.
- Follow this road and it joins onto Kilmarnock Road soon after, where the hotel can be found on the left-hand side.

By Train:
The nearest railway station is Glasgow Prestwick International Airport Railway station. Trains run to and from Glasgow every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 45 minutes. When arriving here you should cross over above the A79 main road by using the covered walkway, to get to the main entrance of the airport, approximately 80 metres away. Here you will be able to get a taxi directly to the hotel. The taxi journey will take under 5 minutes.

Taxis are available from Prestwick, Ayr and Kilmarnock.

Airport Free phone - New
As a new service, Muirhouse is the only hotel in Scotland to have a phone situated in Prestwick Airport. Located next to the Tourist Information Centre, there is a very large advert with a free phone attached, just pick up the receiver and a member of staff will arrange for one of the chauffeurs to collect you within a few minutes.
