We stayed in the Annex, bonus. Had a wonderful stay, the owners were pleasant and friendly and gave advice on where to go and what to see. Will definitely be going back.

The rain on the Saturday evening, but what do you expect - it is Cumbria.

What a great place! Very homely and welcoming with friendly and helpful owners / staff. Amazing breakfasts and quiet, comfortable rooms.

There was an issue with the Wi-Fi during our visit and no 'phone signal. This can easily be obtained by a very short walk up the road though, so didn't cause any problems.

From the moment we arrived,we were made to feel very welcome. We were shown to our lovely, spacious room and offered tea and coffee in the lounge. We stay in bed/breakfast regularly and felt that Muncaster Guest House excelled our expectations. Breakfast was delivered with a friendly smile and chat. My husband was leaving really early on our second morning but still managed a light breakfast which was kindly left out for him to help himself. A lovely twenty minute stroll into Ravensglass , via Muncaster Castle grounds offered a selection of good pub food. The guest house has a great list of suggested eateries and offer home cooked evening meals Monday to Thursday. We didn't try the evening meals but if the breakfast is anything to go by , they will be good. Great stay at a very high standard of b/b. We will definitely return to the guest house and would absolutely recommend to friends and family

Good location, staff very friendly. Beautiful cooked breakfast whilst watching the wildlife in the garden.

No mobile phone signal but it is only a short walk up to the castle's car park in order to make calls.

Brilliant, fantastic hosts, very friendly good location. Very clean with everything you needed. So relaxing and close to good places of interest. Excellent choice of breakfast which was cooked to perfection, this has to be one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in! Thanks for supplying everything we needed for a nice relaxing weekend break.

Made welcome on arrival & throughout our stay.

Distance to local pubs/restaurants - one mile, OK going as downhill but not so pleasant return journey as we chose to drink rather than drive.

We had a great stay at the Muncaster Guest House during the Easter weekend. Definitely recommend as a place to stay! We were primarily in the region to go hiking each day; an easy drive to Scafell and Helvellyn. Great places to eat nearby and the hotel recommends restaurants as well. Very well run guest house and each morning the Cumbrian breakfast was amazing! Friendly place to stay, great location!
