This Victorian guesthouse is on over 2 acres of landscaped grounds. It offers accommodations with breakfast included, and individually designed rooms with views of Hereford and the hills beyond. Many of the beautiful rooms have a jacuzzi, while some have a Victorian freestanding bath or a sunken bath with bathroom TV. Other room facilities include tea/coffee, and a TV with a DVD player. Munstone House is on landscaped grounds, only 2 miles from the middle of Hereford and its shopping facilities. Hereford Racecourse is just a 5-minute drive from the guesthouse. A full English breakfast is served in the breakfast room every morning. Guests can enjoy idyllic garden views while eating. Hotel Rooms: 6

The room was very impressive with superb bathroom and decor throughout. Were there for wedding and this was very well catered for. Will book a return to explore the surrounding countryside by bike. Looks idyllic.

Relaxing atmoshpere, age and design of the building, friendlyness and efficiency of the staff. The remoteness of the location. The whole experience of staying first time at this hotel was wonderfully relaxing, the location was ideal and the room and facilities were ideal. We would definetely book again.

The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Also a smoking area was outside my room. This makes a big difference to hotels who ban it completely and I would stay there again. Smoker friendly.

A very grand, elegant guest House. Can understand why people have taken it to be a hotel and therefore expect hotel facilities leading to complaints. We find this rather sad because it is a beautiful Victorian house with elegant rooms decorated and furnished in keeping with the period (it is obvious a great deal of care has been taken to retain the original feel) plus two amazing ultra-modern rooms. All the rooms are absolutely huge. Everywhere was very clean and all the staff were very friendly. The buffet breakfast was excellent, constantly topped up. This is a superb venue for weddings. We stayed 5 nights and there was a wedding on the Saturday but there was absolutely no reduction in the service we received.

I have copied a previous reviewers comments as I agree totally. Hotel is mainly geared up for weddings so runs on minimal staff with no manned reception desk, bar or restaurant. Some won't like that but for me it wasn't a problem. The staff were pleasant and helpful (you had to ring a bell and someone came - quickly), the hotel was clean and well presented, and you could not fault the comfort or cleanliness of the room; quiet, peaceful, comfy four poster bed and soft clean sheets. The breakfast was buffet style but was checked regularly, was piping hot and very tasty with lots of choice. Not a lover of buffet breakfasts but having said that it was still very good.

Very little. Very noisey until 1am. would not have booked if we had been informed a wedding was on. The room was dusty, windows dirty, cobwebs on ceiling, water glasses unclean, evidently not replaced after previous occupents. The furniture was old and the inside of one bedside table had not been cleaned after some sort of spillage. ugh!!

Fantastic room, good service and I really felt that I was staying in a Hotel that had costs me over double. There was a small bottle of wine and chocolates in my room and the whole place was exceptionally clean.

Quiet Location, the venue was warm well heated with plenty of hot water and supplies of coffee/tea etc.. Very friendly and helpful staff gave useful suggestions for eating out as only breakfast provided. Good in every way would recommend for short stay in Hereford. Only problem was the bath in our suite very deep and had to hand hold the shower, and be careful you did not spray water over bathroom floor This was not too good for older people I feel

“A home from home, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, very accommodating and relaxing. High standard of cleanliness, very friendly and professional. Comfortable beds, nice toiletries and great breakfast. We upgraded to a deluxe room, which was spacious, nicely decorated with good size bathroom. Good value for money. Rosie & Bill were wonderful hosts, by far the best b&b we've ever stayed in.” Sara, Great Chart |
