What a delightful farmhouse B&B! Our room was spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were gracious and helpful. Breakfast was very good. And we enjoyed eating it at the big table in the formal dining room with the other guests. A great way to meet and chat with new and interesting people. Unfortunately, car trouble prevented us from exploring the nearby village after breakfast as we had to wait all morning at the B&B for the BAA tow truck. However, we enjoyed lazing in the sun in the front garden while we waited. All in all a very pleasant stay, car woes notwithstanding.

This charming Georgian mill house is set next to the village of Long Buckby, 20 minutes’ drive from Northampton. Filled with original features, it offers comfortable rooms with attached bathroom with countryside views, a garden and free off-road parking. The center of the village is 10 minutes’ walk away and local fishing trips can be arranged for guests. Murcott Mill has good access to the M1, M6 and A14, within 6 miles of Daventry and 20 minutes’ drive of Rugby. Direct trains to London and Birmingham run from nearby Long Buckby Train Station.
